All you guys in the top think its bad cause you can't attack people below you...but when Argus was able to attack me, I wasn't able to attack someone even 10 ranks below him, and yet he was able to attack me at will. It was unfair for the lower ranked people.

- Contracts insurace will cover the cost of killed marines in that mission

It Doesn't do that to me 3 I tested it, bought a ship of 6 bill, with 2,7 bill marines
Lost the ship, reward: 300 mill, insurance: 2,9 bill

I always manage to get the things wrong why I always lose more money Opps

Greetz, ABI w00t2

Sorry for modifying after some1 posted, but it wasn't a 5 bill ship, it was a 6 bill ship

Insurance will only cover marines lost in a fight, killed by other marines. If you stock your ship with too many marines and they die because the ships exploded with them in there, it won't cover it, you should find the sweet spot of how many marines to put on a fleet, depending on your tactic and how much of the fleet you expect to lose...

For example, if you have a max marines of 100 mil on a fleet, and 10k ships in it, and lose 1k in a fight, if you have 100 mil marines 10% -> 10 mil will die in the explosion, however if you have 90 mil on board, they will manage to survive the blast by taking refuge on the other ships...

Then depending on your real resupply price (line assembly etc.), you should get 80% of the remaining damage after reducing the reward and captured fleets.

Example were all variables are involved: You lose 50 mil marines, 50 mil in ships, have 20% line assembly, capture 20 mil in ships, receive 20 mil reward. Calculations are: (50 + 50 - 20 - 20)*0.8 = 48 mil insurance

but this is how it went:

13 mil marines lost, no ships lost, no ships captured reward 2.000.000 credits

so 13 - 2 = 11

11 * (i'm not sure what line assembly is)

so 11 * line assembly = insurance

i got 0 insurance

Hi,

You have to reduce your marine losses by your assembly line + mothership assembly line bonus and gold bonus if you have, then insurance will cover 80% of what was lost after the deduction of the profit.

E.g. let's say you have 25% assembly line, that would be losses: (should have used marines bonus but couldnt decide to use the resupply marines or buy marines so assembly line was used 14)

totalLosses = 3.034.295.292 * 0.75  = 2.275.721.469

totalEarnings = 2.293.666.268

totalEarnings > totalLosses, so no insurance, otherwise you would have got:

Insurance = (totalLosses - totalEarnings)*0.8
