Item rewards from missions are distributed in a crappy ratio.

Lately Ive not been getting ANY mining items - Ive reported it as a bug as well.


However, theres too many marine items, and defence items are basically useless - but I get plenty of those.

Can we decrease the number of defence items, marine items, and increase hit points and attack items please.

Hit points, attack and marines should be distributed fairly evenly - it seems like its not like that at the moment.

I'll take a look at the distribution of the items, we have a rarity value introduced with the new round to support the encryption multiplier update.

This made turn items & mining items more rare, made credits / marines items more frequent like this...

We have two rarity tables, explained here in basics:

- Encrypts item rarity table: credits / workers 5 in 32, defense 1 in 16, hp / acc / attack / abs 1 in 32, marines / warp 1 in 10, mining 1 in 160, turns 1 in 650, segments 1 in 4, experience 1 in 93

- Incursion item rarity table: 1 special item for each 30 credits / workers items, rarity for spec item from left to right: turns, mining time, exp, hp, acc, att, abs, def, marines, warp, segments.


As you can see mining items are 4 x times more frequent then turn items but still pretty rare.
It is a very good idea to try and multiply them with the misiion multiplier when you find them...

Maybe you could lower the turn items a bit I haven't seen one since the mutiplier went up on war server and I do at least 3 quads each night with 400+ encrypts.

Thanks for the excellent and detailed response Emi.

Defence is rarely used because its not cost effective, so for most players these items are just junk to be sold -you could remove defence items and defence itself out of the game entirely without any issues as far as Im concerned.

I think it makes sense to have all the combat items appear in the same ratio so how about;  Hp, acc, attack, abs, marines all being 1/32 or something like that.

With the miscellaneous how about; Warp, mining, xp about 1/90 or something close.  That leaves xp about where it is, decreases warp (which is very limited use) and increases mining.  I feel mining items are currently too rare.

I feel credits, workers, segments and turns are fine as they are.

Also - Emi - can you actually double check the values inside the code if you havent already - I really have done a lot of missions lately and not got any mining items  - none at all.  I cant say how many missions Ive done without getting a mining item - somewhere between 3 and 10 thousand missions Id say - bad luck is one thing, but thats off the charts.

Not long ago I would get 3 to 10 a day, doing the same thing - but now - nothing.  I noticed it within maybe the last week or so.

I found 7 mining items the other day  laugh  and thats in what 200 enc ^^

I received a 299 Mining Time today, but I tend to agree with Amagnon .. I've seen as many Turn items as Mining Items lately. Which is one of each in the past number of weeks/months? However, in actual fact I'm not counting Mining items in the 1-100 range .. I see a lot of Mining items in the 1-10 range .. It's almost like Turns and Mining Time items are not available at the plus 1000 Encryption level.

Something iffy with Turns and Mining Items imo.

I see a few mining items but yes most of them are maybe for 1 or 2 so not even close to doing 10x for them.

Yeah - I tend to agree with Tz - it might be something to do with encrypt level.  I think maybe its not the mission level - because I even tried drilling down the missions to level 250 - still nothing.

It seems to me, when your encrypt level hits a certian point - maybe 1000 encrypt then mining items just drop to nothing.

The timing of my exceeding 1000 encypt and the disappearance of mining items seem to co-incide - I really think there might be something happening there - ie a bug.
