that would be simiular to gold transports, i could double, triple my income a day off them and that inturn would defeat the object of haviing a slow growth server because currently it takes me over a week to buy a new ship, which slows game play down which is why there are no gold transports/endangered planets and why boarding is so hard to do successfully, if there were GT and EP everyone in the top 10 would of maxed out by now or atleast very close to maxing out. do you see what i mean ![confused](http://spaceoforum.etvirtualworlds.com/Smileys/new2/confused.gif)

instead of mining/researching 1 base to begin with give them a basic base with the resourses to build them, for the top players, or atleast it should be, what a base will make wont be a major advantage over them, most people will tell them how to use them and there are guides about how to ue them, then if they get it wrong then its their fault. to help them with this have it so as only people in normal attacking range can hit their base, like the idea cameron07 said where they cant get attacked for a week or until they get over a certain power, otherwise those bases will be gone in hours if not less. this will help them on their way because creds are harder to make on wars, and as all new players will get a base its then the players that make the mistake not the game letting them down. just an idea ![21](http://spaceoforum.etvirtualworlds.com/Smileys/new2/21.gif)

i dont use bases thats why i have so many segs and i invest in other research and just what i need, thats why i can afford bigger ships because im not losing anything on research, granted i can build a cpuple of bases but i dont want to yet

at higher levels you need more cp's because you have already spent a lot and need more to keep up with the high useage of cp's, espeacially on wars

right, right i know. the idea behind the suggestion was just to add a little realism, maybe a 100k equivalent for turn usage instead? idk but as far as getting creds for stuff... i think if u get paid while spending money on mining, then u should get paid while ur researching. again... probly not worth the time... but if everything else in the game gets to perfect... well hey its one more little tweek that could be made.
-edit- perhaps a command point system then? for example 1CP/100Turns
the 1CP/100 turns would be really good on wars because they are so hard to get anyway because everything takes so many and a top player would have no advantage over a weaker because ever one gets roughly the same turns as black hole dont give many turns, the most i got from a 8/9bill fp was 181, so thats not even 2 CP's

just buy enough so that the fleet power of the swarmer is the same as the mission
i also tried swarmers and was like hitting my head against the wall, i was getting say a mill from missions and was costing 2 mill to resupply
