This is just an idea based on fleets cost calculator- can we also have one that limits the number of enemy fleets to yours? Cos if you have 1-2 ships, and need segs/money/whatever to advance, especially on wars, its nigh impossible to do missions with 1-2ships. wallbash wounded1

This would make some people's lives much easier  1 1 17  angel_not tomato

nah, i think bad idea, its just an easy way for people to run with a few really big ships instead of buying more than 1 or 2 ships

limiting diversity is usually not the way to go..
this proposal eliminates the need for multiple fleets as cameron observed..
several strategies r based on this feature.. u have to balance the # of fleets (or success %) against offensive / defensive purposes

i see no imbalance in this feature.. its the same for evrybody

i think u misunderstood what i was trying to say..

if i understand your last post correctly, u said:

this is ofcourse absolutely undeniably true.. but totally beside the point;
what i was trying to get across is that given the option, all players will be running around with 1 mission fleet and the number of possible strategies in game declines cause of the equal # of fleets

Cos people need to hit a lot of fleets, they need to try more times. So, if there are less fleets, they will be able to succeed at more missions,thus removing mission re-doing.

whats the advantage of a small number of fleets?
if ppl can easily do missions with 1 fleet, howmany fleets do u think they will have?
what would the consequences of that be for the game?
would that make for a better / more interesting game?
