Once every galactic moon (once/week)...

In a galaxy far, far away...
An intergalactic battle, a competition, consisting of only the most feared commanders (those willing to DIE for NOTHING), rages on throughout hyperspace…

This competition is unlike any other. These commanders will take great risk to become “The Champion.”

The winner is given The Champion’s seal (“C”) beside his name, protecting him from ALL harm* for a total of 72 hours (Basically a Nebula with no restrictions, *except counter-attacks). The loser suffers from great damage, the inability to go into a protective Nebula for 72 hours, and is brand with a large “L” beside his name.

The requirements are strict.

Only 10 players, with commander levels of 30+ may enter the competition.
The entry fee is a bid.

Only 10 commanders will make it into the tournament. Many more will enter.

Every commander, in order to enter, must “bid” for a spot amidst the competitors. The 10 HIGHEST bids receive a Tournament Voucher which is good for ONE(1)** entry into…

THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

**The “Tournament Voucher” is transferable, one time, to a commander of your choice. The Tournament Voucher has no direct credit value.

Schematics…
The winnings:

The entry fees and bids are pooled together into a grand prize, worthy of awe and admiration, to be delivered to the winner upon successful completion of the tournament.

The winner must compete, using only 5 selected fleets.
The catch? These fleets are pre-determined for you. You must choose your five and set the order in which they do battle.
Fleets:
1. Kami – (100 Attack/24 Defense)

2. Defender – (25 Attack/100 Defence)

3. Normalizer – (51Attack/51 Defense)

4. Confuser – This fleet will switch places with your opponent’s fleet (25 Attack/0 Defense); if used against the Power-up fleet, YOU obtain the 2x stats boost and lose 1 point.

5. Power-up – 2x Stats for your next card; double damage is always used for YOUR fleet (No damage is taken here, 1 point is FORFEITED to the OTHER player [-1 for you/+1 for opponent]) (cannot be used before the Confuser fleet)

6. Points – User gets 3 points, but the other player gets the points for winning; if used against the Confuser fleet, the opponent gets the points for winning, and from this fleet

The competitors go 3 rounds, switching their cards out each round (auto-chosen randomly if user fails to arrange them within the time limit). The winner is based on a point system.

1. In the event of a…
    a.       Draw: 2 points each
    b.       Loss: -1 point
    c.       Win: +5 points

The points are tallied from the rounds and the overall winner is awarded an extra 50 points

After everyone battles, the commander with the most points overall is awarded The Champion and the contents of the Tournament Vault along with $5 worth of Command Points...

This sounds like a cool idea, however i dont think i understand all of it.  For instance, what kind of bids are we talking here, real world money?  in game money?  etc.?  Also please define the rules more clearly with the fleets and such.  Thanks!

Credits man, not real money.
The reason is seems so broad is because I wanted to leave room for some suggestion/debate on a few areas... a collective brain can think much more clearly than a single one

"except counter-attacks"... he can still lose this via counters, aliens, encounters, etc...

pretend each fleet is a card (like a "pokemon" card, but instead a "space.o card")... now pretend it has stats and can perform special tricks, etc...
I would venture to say that this idea is much like a card game of Pokemon/Digimon/Magic, etc... except that these are played online, and in concordance with your space odyssey account...
Make anymore sense now?

Yea somewhat.  So how do the cards match up?  Is it a rock paper scizzors type thing(ex: Kami beats normalizer, normalizer beats defender, defender beats Kami) or is it something more complex?

I hope you can only select each card once?

As for the cards
Kami wins from the points, losses vs confuser
Defender only wins vs Points (if you give him 1 hp more so he can survive the Kami the kami would only win vs points) losses confuser
Normalizer only wins vs points losses vs the confuser
Confuser wins vs everything but a draw vs kami
Power up , only card that doesnt lose vs the confuser lol
Points..... useless you get 3 -1 = 2 points other gets 5.... even a draw is better

The only thing that really matters is the confuser

It is not quite rock paper scissors Grond because my hope is to add many more fleets/cards with the help of the players and eventually have 100's that you can choose from...

Kenquinn, yes, each card may only be chosen once.
I was drunk for a minute while I wrote the idea out, so the cards may not make sense (they did at the time - I swear!).
The point is that each fleet is not supposed to carry the same value. That is why some win twice, some lose always, etc. IT will still be fair because each player still has the same cards to choose from and line up. I think...
