In the last few days I have followed a number of attacks by higher up players on the lower power players.

The attacks are following the same pattern. A player with high enough line assembly skills is able to sell / reserve tiny man fleets. Selling of a fleet previously returned 90% of the cost, as did the reserving. This enable said players to jump up / down in ranks and hit anyone they choose by only having galaxy power to bring in credits and putting all the other credits in the reserved ships, while selling from reserved fleets to release the credits and buy more ships to attack.

So this update will address said issue by making it so you will always receive 50% of the real value of the ships back in credits when you sell it.

So if you have maxed the line assembly skill you will be able to buy a ship for less credits, but when selling the ship you will only receive 50% of what your current skill can purchase.

this is a bull poop update emi, killed pvp totally. as if it wasnt f**k**g already expensive enough now we have to totally f**k**g cripple our selfs just to make one attack..

you are supposed to be tempting us to pvp not f**k**g rule it out completely...

I agree with this update.

Spayed you must see that if Sir Emi did not stop the pvp.

I agree that currently the pvp will drop a bit.
But I've gotten several mails from several new players in OSOTA, that they've been attacked by high ranked players, and got totally annihilated.
And then ending the message with the following: "I quit the game"
If those attacks were to keep up. In the end you would have way less (new) players that are willing to play the game.
Alot of players already have left the game. Let's not make this any worse than it already is.

jango... it takes out boarders.. it prevents me from reserving and even using smaller mains...

its a bull poop update...

my alliance accounts for probably 90% of the pvp in the game.... the only way we can attack anyone is by selling ships and powering down..

what u also might have considered is that it hinders pve aswell cause u get less back from selling your mission ships...

I am the person that has been bouncing around killing people and i had to work and put my points in the right places to be able to do it. Its not an exploit.Anyone that plays has the same opportunity to build their commander as i have or any way they choose.
I say learn to play the game and don't change the rules in midgame to try an appease lazy ass people that won't get the lead out and learn how to play.
its basic mathematics and a little common sense.

This is just a bullshit update to keep low players from whining, we still havent ever fixed the origonal problem... there is no pvp.. just buddy nebbing and alt nebbing, take away galaxy attacks.. this is just a way to cop out of actually fixing the real problem...

I really think think is going to be turned into one as well... I mean Emi you said to me in a mail... a pretty good time ago that you was working on fixing the neb problem... still.. no word from it... you cant make people in nebs earn less and all that bs and fix the problem because people will still be constantly staying in nebs... you have to make it so they can't do that

I did not say it was an exploit, however the parties attacked should be able to counter attack and try to retaliate. In this case, they did not have any opportunity to retaliate or do anything so many quit. I consider it a flaw that should be fixed.

Please check out the suggestions board, we are discussing the improvements there.

And we will improve the nebula system and include it in the PvP improvements discussed in the Suggestions board.
