So I hear some rumors going around that Emi is planning on reseting Wars server.
If that is the case I wanted to get you a list of some of the more popular suggestions so hopefully you could add a few when/if you reset it.

the AI is kind of outdated, maybe it could have some better designing tips for starters... and tell the new members about the free gold trial they have before they lose it

If needed I can probably write you some design tips for it and provide you with a few decent starter designs.

it would be nice for it to show where your planet is in the galaxy and maybe your stations.. eventually work towards if you have stuff on nav comp maybe a scroll over to see what you have wrote for there.. would be good for keeping and idea of who's stuff is where in the galaxy and if your doing a galaxy run and want to kill something which way to head

I think that the stars in spaceo should play a part in the way planets function, obviously you can't really add negative bonuses because people on the wars servers who already have planets could suffer but here is just a few ideas for what they could do;

Black Hole: +50% to planet combat, due to the large gravity it would be harder for ships to manoeuvre and harder for the marines to combat in the light that it produces (or rather takes away)

Brown Dwarf M: +25% capacity, As the closest to sol's natural light it makes people feel more at home, and more people wish to come to the planet.

White Dwarf: +25% credits, due to the huge light given of by this star the planet can produce more power through solar energy, cutting the planets energy costs.

Blue SuperGiant: Open to suggestion's, but please keep it sensible.

Red L Dwarf: Open to suggestion's, but please keep it sensible.

Late-M Dwarf: Open to suggestion's, but please keep it sensible.

I think this is one you said you were intending on putting in sometime.
Right now would be great if you are indeed reseting the server.

Just a thought...... When new people start this game , the last thing you need is for them to be instantly attacked before they even opened their eyes!!
First thing they are usually doing is reading guides and tutorials on how to play, then they buy a ship and have no idea what they do with it. How about all new accounts start with a neb protection, maybe for 24 hours so that it buys them a bit of time to work the game out. This neb will have same conditions as for other people, so if they instigate an attack they will lose it.
Think this may be beneficial to both wars and main servers.

When doing scans, you get very little information. I was thinking about this and thought that it would be a good thing if the information from the previous scan would also show along with any additional information that the new scan would have showed.

I was thinking maybe we could have some kind of alliance research.
With the research you could add to the alliance page Alliance Research.
It would have stuff like increased worker growth, increased credit interest, etc.
Then it would apply to every account in the alliance.
It could cost turns, cp, and credits just like normal research but way higher.
Or maybe it could be done like mothership modules.
Then those people who have maxed most of their modules will actually have something to do with their extra resources lol.
I think this would be a great boost to alliances.
And yes before anyone posts it I know it could be fairly easily abused with alts or by some greedy a-hole who just let people in got high techs and then kicked them and never let anyone join again.
This could easily be solved I think (this is the and more part) by having not just chat moderators but in-game moderators.
I posted something a bit like this earlier but basically in-game mods would be able to ban accounts for a week if there is a goof chance they are breaking TOS.
Also when they do that Sir Emi could get an auto pm so that he can look into it further.
Or we could always just do it the other way and everyone on the server gang up on whoever was abusing it.

Name says it all the ability to dismantle a plant to get segs back from it of course it wound not be at 100% efficiency and you could not get any from a planet that has not been extended however this would make it much more profitable to capture another players plant as you could use it to expand your own.

This is another wars server update idea (but can be used one main with a few tweeks)

Now I personally was in a few alliances that "declared war" on another alliance (now I don't want war but for those alliances who choose to declare war or still declare war I know a few who are in "minor" skirmish when they do login which isn't much) anyways

We have a truce button but whats the point of truces if there isn't an "offical" war button where an alliance leader can delcare war (with vote) from the members of the alliance on another alliance now you all might ask why? As right now its fine, true but a few things could be "added" or allowed during war time such as all fleets tech is temporary enhanced by 5-15% for each side (warp disruptures for the delcaring side and warp stabilizers for the defending side), rep is gain by "major" damage against enemy fleets instead of lost during a normal state...

Something to do with station combat and planet combat (still thinking but I'm sure something could be done here)

Yes more things could be added/changed here but its an basic overview again like my last topic (via planet attack button) its for public view on the idea before I spend time "adding" details to it...

Marine components need removed from WARS.
Why? one it would kill tinies as they would then have a major weakness, two it would make it to where it is harder to kill of new players cause you would no longer be able to just fill up a ship with a huge marine component and fry then.
I think this would be very beneficial to the server what do you guys think?

Could Emi please make an option to build like more then 1 modul per one refresh to station or mining facility. As its quite annoying to build 20 input modules on at the time.

Most of these had at least 3 people agree.
Also I think that most would be fairly easy.

I wanted to add a couple more things though.

1. Alliances automatically truce themselves.
This just seems to be common sense.

2. An averaging system for new players.
I have said this before but I think for Wars to work we need something that give brand new accounts the average of what the top 50-100 has.
I think it should also be techs, commander abilities, mothership modules, etc.
Not the resources necessary to get the average since a new player would likely waste most of it.

3. I for one would like to see player accounts reset while we are at it.
Too many inactive accounts lying around and I see this as the easiest way to fix it.
Those that still play can easily sign up for a new account and people with Gold just match it to e-mail accounts.

Need an s-ship? If you have Gold just search Jangos, then select the price you want. If you don't have Gold just pm me for a design.
