There is a list of updates and improvements for today for SO Main:

- Galaxy / planetary power of a commander is no longer included in the remote / full assault power calculations. Instead, the power is split into "Mothership Power" and "Galaxy Power". You can see the total power (galaxy + mothership) in "Top Rankings". Mothership power is used in all calculations regarding remote and full assault battles. Galaxy power is measured in order to determine the rankings. The winners are determined by the amount of total power they hold.

- Attack warnings have been put in place if the enemy fleet power is greater then 200% of your own fleet power, a warning message will appear. You will have to confirm that you do actually want to attack the target even though the odds are not in your favor. Warning will work on Quick Attack option too. From the War room, it is assumed that you will use your full fleet power. From the quick attack, enemy power is calculated vs. your defined battle formation to determine if you have to confirm the attack order. In any case, when the 200%+ enemy power is detected, the warning message will have to be confirmed.

- The warp evade change and remote / full assault strings in the War room have been given a bigger font so they are more visible now prior to an attack.

- Ingame Mailbox: When a reply has been sent on a message, a small reply icon will appear in the left of the message.

The ranking modifications look interesting, it will possibly put planets more into the firing line!
I'm not over happy with the attack warning.  I can see a use for when your playing whilst half awake and find you've clicked on an encounter 200 times your power, but having warning nearly everytime you attack something gets annoying.
  I'm getting warning messages for encounters that are way below my lead's firepower, and the window that gives you the warning looks like it's not part of the game. I hope eventually the warning can be incorporated into the game itself. I would like to be able to turn off or on the warnings, similar to the fleet cost calculator, or even to be able to set the limit to which you get a warning.

yah agree with saturn.. i have 5 bil fp total and im attacking 2 bil fp stuff and getting warnings
