There should be a "Intelligence" ability, and menu, and counter intelligence also. Some things should be spayed like messages, cash, commander skills, fleets reserved, planets and facility locations, logs, and stuff like that. Intel should cost turns and cash based on the target's fleet power and Intel technology. Success rate should be modified by counterintelligence skills and facilities. Sabotage, operations like stealing some amounts of cash, items, and even ships could change and give more versatility to the game strategy. Also planet, space stations, and mines could be affected by provoked riots (no cash) installation sabotage, viruses could affect secret asteroids and planets populations and so on. Alliances should be able to spy on other alliances members and rankings, and even board messages. In strategy games, as in real life, usually intelligence operations are a critical factor.
