the higher up players do use it.. but the new players cant because their cloaking isnt high enough but now theres not even carbon out there for them to build a station

shhh your not actually supposed to think about existing solutions lama... besides, that still doesn't help noobs (as was pointed out) at some point, a player inevitably has to mine some resource in order to get started. i suppose a retort to this is that missions offer resources. make an alt under 10bil fp and try to get enough resources from missions to build a station. it is ridiculous.
at the same time though... it would be unrealistic and a slap in the face to veteran players if random seeding were to be allowed.
for these reasons i am a strong advocate of some sort of mineral creation mechanic.

nah how about just make resource items greater in the 50-200 encryption range not significantly, otherwise bigger players would do those, but enough to maybe create a station in 3X the turns needed to just mine the resources

that works too jessie... but come on... it is possible to imagine a sowars server a year or two from now entirely filled with planets and devoid of resources... now i dont think anyone wants to see that

how about just destroy ABANDONED planet option people could conquer nooby planets then destroy them. would keep the galaxy unlittered

Yah, I was looking for carbon(im one of those noobs that started late and now cant find carbon) over at least 30 systems and didnt find any till somebody on my team generously told me where some is.....so we need something..i think its just the desighn of the game..if they made it so that like minerals stored on your mothership where raidable or modules on them too could be depleted.

To cover the shortfall of carbon for new players, I have decided to build repopulate a system with carbon myself. I just want confirmation though that a base destroyed will spill 70% of its contents to space? The system name will be posted here from which all players are welcomed to mine the carbon. I will post the coods for the system in a weeks time. Thank you. I do hope though that Emi will come up with a solution soon.

Sadalsuud - Eta Trianguli Alright, thats where the carbon is going to be at...Carbon mining will be available in about 5days... In time for the weekend players. Hope all training alliances and Poofers help direct those looking for carbon to said system. alright....hmmm..bait set.. *ticks checklist* haha..kidding. btw, nolan...u can still do this if u want to...more systems with carbon wouldnt hurt anyone.

ships, mineing faclitys and planets destoryed in the galaxy should dump MORE then it takes to make them (into the 4-5 quads around it) this way it will keep a balance, and that it would cost alot of turns still to try to destory and recollect recourses (a waste!) and its not alot more, but just enough to withstand the upgrades people use that cost minerals... say a space station or planet destoryed (that should be possible) will drop 105% or 110% amount of the recouses that has been invested into it only...
