No nebula; New technology called line of Sight Blocker allows you to be "nebbed" from an/the individual who has attacked you three times in the last 24 hour
New money mission. Reward is the same for everyone, but mission difficulty and power is determined by wealth
New Conflict Device that once activated and developed will destroy 99-99.9% the wealth(same as taking 2 or 3 0's from their power) of the top twenty! Top twenty can attack anyone at this time using within 0-120% of the defender's power. When top twenty player gets halved he loses random 1/3 of CP and level. After the Conflict Device is used, half the top twenties stolen wealth is distributed evenly to all other players.
When powering down to attack, you are allowed 1250 ships MAX. This will rid the tinyman abuse.
Smaller players should have the following option when attacking a massive player:
    Attack>Pick which fleet to attack given list of fleets' powers>Attack only this fleet
When a massive player attacks a smaller player he will be "skulled"- he will have a skull status which will allow others to attack for 24 hours and he will have less HP.
Every time someone attacks he will be given credits just for going to war. Afterall, war is a great economy booster.

i havent voted, but im against any drastic change. i know i once called for a way to destroy the uses of tinymen. ive changed.

a major change to the wars server would make it less war-like. keep it the way it is.

instead of just allowing other players to attack player A, how about player A has coordinates permanently on Intel until the counter of player B is up.

and 1 other thing to go with it, im not sure how others will take, im not even sure if i like it myself 16 but ill post it

if player A gets successfully attacked during this time, then player B receieves 1/10 of the segs/damages that he lost in the original attack. just something to think about...

That's not what my definition of skull was, but I'm open to it.

you cant see anything the topic has be cleared out on the moved would be nice if the entire topic would have been moved or only your suggestion.

the powering down when you attack some 1 wont work i just attack some 1 then power down my self so when he needs to power down to get me he gets the penalty of only getting a fleet of 1250 ships.

the attack pick option wont work either you take a major fleet of tiny titans and just take out mission ships that were once saved from direct attack.

O yeahs plz put this in then it will be so ezy to kill sowars in a single day you can finaly get out the torch and pitchforks and just 20 man some 1 by attacking him 60 times.

the new conflict device no ty i will make sure im on spot 21 before i activate it and since 99.9% of the wealth is destroyed on activation the top 20 cant attack no 1 since they have no cash wich brings me back to the point here above.

on the skull part define a massive player does that factor in he has 10 fleets of tiny titans or is it based on FP alone.

I voted no, and mostly for the obvious reasons of all suggestions being subpar and skewed to encourage mediocre play.

If you play solidly over the long haul you will become a force on the war server.

If you want random senseless violence, SO Wars is not for you.

If you could power down so far that we will have to power down to use 1250 ships then he must be too powerful for you and this system just saved you for your natural spot is lower than his.

If lower than you wants to waste his money on tinymen to attack your ship then he probably will lose all his money in the pocess.

And the 20 men will be attacked as well... It will round everyone off.

Allow me to describe the conflict device again.
Their are researchers. 20 researchers are needed to begin research. Research happens over a 24 hour period in which total chaos happens. The top twenty will have a chance to attack at this time before their money is taken away. If the researchers stay in the top 200 because the top twenty were unable to attack, the top twenty lose 2-3 digits from their power. Again if you could get low enough to be in spot 21 while the others around 30 are trying to get lower then you but can't, then this is your natural spot.

Which do you think would be more effective?






For further use, allow me to define natural rank/spot as the rank at which you would be if you did not have the fat- the pships and such.

I had thought the war server was about war. What is it about, Tzarkoth?

I told myself I wont try to explain why this is such a bad idea but it justs bugs me to no end. Instead of fighting with you, I will let you go on with your train of thought and see where it leads to.

20 researches you say is needed to begin this research. Please elaborate on how you project this research to be achieved. Please state the prerequisites to the tech. Also pls indicate if this research will reset itself after its been successfully initiated or not.

Please elaborate what is meant by total chaos during this 24hr window. What will you expect during this time frame. You mention that the top 20 will begin attacking. Please elaborate whom might this top 20 begin targeting and what would be the expected result from it.

Alright, now, consider that bullets and plasma fly during this 24hr window and that of the top 20, 10 went on a rampage, while 10 reserved their fleets and spent 3/4 of their credits to get new fleets. How do you account for this?

Also, Im not sure what you meant by if the researchers are still in the 200 rankings after this, the top 20 will lose 2-3 digits of their power. Is this before or after they lose their credits? How do you propose to do such a thing? What if there isnt enough credits on hand to drop the power by that you proposed. What else do you plan on taking away?

These are some things which I cannot comprehend, so please feel free to elaborate and help me understand your view.

Please list ALL your ideas together, I remember seeing something about removing 1/3 cps/lvls from the top20. Also that if someone of higher power attacks a person of lower power they receive skulls? please elaborate also. I am curious.

Well, sir, allow me to begin such elaborations. It sounds like I have a lot of elaboration to do and I will do it to the best of my abilities. If you have any more questions about the Conflict Device, you might want to log onto main and observe the DDay on which it is based.

Allow me to begin:
Prereq: unnecessarily* level 200 and top 200 rank. A top twenty player would also be allowed to research if he wishes to do so.
This conflict device will be reset and may be researched again given the prereqs.

The top twenty would naturally target the researchers who wish to rob the top of their resources. If a researcher falls bellow rank 200 in this 24 hr research period, the research would stop and the day would be saved.

Are you suggesting that the twenty who were in the top twenty at the beginning of the research be locked into said research? I think that would be terrific. I'll make a poll of it.

If the researchers manage to keep their top 200 rank for a full 24 hr, they would activate the Conflict Device. At the exact moment after this 24 hr period the Conflict Device will be activated, the top twenty will loose some: ships (reserved and not), credits, workers, segments, command points, experience, research, and level.

Again they will lose an amount unnecessarily* equal to 1/3 of their CP.

The skulling system suggested by myself was such that a higher player, who must power down(use a fraction of his power) in order to gain an otherwise impotent ability to attack another player, will be of the status "skull." While "skulled" a player will observe a fractionally reduced hp and an absence of a protective nebula.
While I may have suggested said reduction and absence, others have presented alternative symptoms.



*I say unnecessarily because such numbers are not set in stone.
