I think wikipedia should take down the ones containing offensive material, I mean, if it's offending people of a certain religion, then of course it should taken down.  |

no offense to anyone but u cant say anything anymore without offending someone, so usually in cases of religion mostly only very offenseive things or cursing are removed from wikipedia, and anyone can post anything they want to on wikipedia, it might get edited in 15 mins, but that can be your 15 minutes of fame

It's pity they can be so slow at discovering well-known profanity though... +100 to ED & the channers. Accuracy, Lol, I remember looking at the page on brazil for homework once, and underneath climate it said "Frickin' warm foo".  |

In Islam picture of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and other Humans are not allowed. But Wikipedia editors are showing illustrations with face illustrated and face is veiled or white washed. But still they are offensive to Muslims. I request all brothers and sisters to sign this petitions so we can tell Wikipedia to respect the religion and remove the illustrations. I don't think they're claiming it's illegal, nor that they're trying to take legal action against Wikipedia. It sounds to me that they are just trying to the Wikipedia people's sense of hono(u)r. Which, with over three hundred thousand signatures, they might well do. But... meh. Honor, honour; valor, valour; color... colour. |
