No damage nebs

Ok I hit 3 ppl today on my alt ... MasterJohn2 ... CrimsonSmear ... deerslayer ... I sent in 100decoys to hit them in other words scouts ... Right after I hit them doing 0 damage to em they went straight into nebula ...?? What the heck is this ?

This is the log from the attack (minus attacker info) that put me in a neb... it appears that any attack that destroys ship (attacker or defender) initiates the diminishing neb system
