BOARDING!!!!! i know most player dont like it at all, but i personally like it for me boarding makes the game alot faster 2 play, it means that rounds will b alot shorter but also alot more fast paced and interesting. i think that boarding should be changed back 2 the way it was b4 because i think that it makes the game faster paced and more fun. this aspect of the game also gives some players the chance 2 get further into the game then they otherwise would have because it is easyer 2 get money nad advance yourself. it would give these players a greater understanding of how thigns work and hopefully make it a much tougher competition this it is atm and give the game a more competitive edge that will cause sum players 2 try harder and even donate more to try and get ahead. im interested 2 hear other peoples views on this and what they thing should happen.

I'm new around here :-) What is this boarding you speak of?
I take it you mean vs NPC Fleets?
What has changed?

yea against the encounters on SOMain
a couple of rounds ago a lot of people boarded the encounters 2 make money, they made money my capturing the ships of the encounters and then selling them, emi made it impossible for people 2 make money off this by doing an update 2 change the way things happened, i don't know exactly what he did but he didn't make it so that there was no profit in boarding the enemy fleets at all, actually ive lost a lot on money every time i have tried 2 do so.

i dont know the exact reason why he did it.
boarding made it possible 2 make alot of money off every encounter not just the GT's, boarding was alittle bit risky in early times aswell because u were not guarantied a profit on every battle because of hte types of shippys that u may have gotten on the encounters, sometime they self destructed and other times u came up against supers that just drained ur marines

It was totally unbalanced if you had enough money to donate you could reach max power in 1 day especialy with the increased number of encounters.
It was pretty sick, you could upgrade more then 4 times a day for just an hour of playing as 4 encounters mostly gave enough to upgrade.
I rather make boarding vs other people like it used to be.

it was fun, made the game more exciting , u can reach max if u have enough money anyways, maybe it was a little unbalanced but that was the beauty of it, one day u could make a lot and the next u could make nothing at all because of crappy encounters. i thought boarding was great for the game and still cant understand why it was completely destroyed. as for boarding other people, nothing was changed to that when the changes were done that is still the same as it ever was.

5 Rounds ago you could capture fleets that had no marines in them. That allowed you to make profit. Boarding realy sucked, even I could get max power

i loved the old boarding i didnt play the round that you all maxed out thx to boarding, but the round before Frank started using small boarding ships to board NPC fleets and made quite a bit of profit, so i decided to follow but with my own style (Super ship boarding encounters) when i got ships up in high bil-tril credits class. In 1 day i upgraded 7 times thx to this tecnique and i also taught a^misses^idiot and a^bloody^idiot (also known as ami and abi ) this way of making money. It was very risky though and you couldnt do nearly as high power encounters with this style as with normal encounter bashing style but it was much much much more profitable and could boost me rank 30 to top 10 in just a day or two. lets say you had 5 super ships, no weapons on them, all 80 % absorb and a lot of hp. now lets say this fleet has 100 bil fp. If you wanted to succeed you could do maximum maybe 400 bil fp encounters, and even then it could be risky. sometimes you lost 10 tril marines but captured ships worth 30 tril. or sometimes you lost all your marines...maybe 50 tril and captured no ships at all or ships of much lower value. the round after this one i left and it seems the technique spread to everyone and you maxed out so emi changed it. there went the only thing i ever owned at :*( farwell, i wish you would come back...but it wont happen really

umm ok im sure many of u already know this, but i will explain it a little to try and get my point across when i play at the start of the round i am usually very well placed up untill i hit about 5 bill power, the reason i bring this up is i usually stop playing at this time. the reason i stop is not because of lack of time or will 2 play the game, the reason i stop is because of boredom, i find that after the first few bill power the game becomes very slow and often very repetitive and i become bored of this, the round that we had boarding i never got bored playing, boarding keeps the game fast paced and more interesting, sure it makes it easy 2 make money and stuff like that, but its not exactly giving it away for free, boarding was just a strategy that people used 2 make money faster and i believe that it suld never have been taken out of the game. i went off my point alittle but anyway, im sure i am not the onli one that gets bored because of the slow pace of certain parts of the game, boarding will keep people more interested and make a greater competition for the top places because of its faster pace of play and well flat out luck u need 2 gain any advantage over any other boarding people. sure people will max out alot faster and the rounds will be shorter, but does that really matter, with boarding the game stays fast paced and will keep them interested and it really wont matter that they all have to reset quicker. im still looking to c peoples opinions and emi, i would like 2 know that if we got the general consensus that people wanted you 2 bring boarding back you would actually do it.
