Cool Cool .. I agree Basil .. Should be stuff down the lower end for the new guys to afford. 1 Billion was what I had in mind. Not a lot of variation in Supers below that mark. I see how the minimum power would work as well, another good addition to the concept.

a cost limit is okay, but i still think power limit show the ability to design below a certain power level. my thing is eventually price/ cost wont be a problem. where as a limit requirement will be constant.

My mind is picturing a script or something equivilent that will let emi plug in different contests when he wants/needs to that way they can grow as the game grows and he won't have to start from scratch each time they need to be updated, also then he can work each contest up whenever he wants without needing to do near as much testing. I'm not quite sure what kind of power level limit you are wanting for it because if it's a ship limit by power it's gonna be a waste of time on the otherhand if it's a power limit as to who can enter the contest it would be better to just limit each commander to 1 entry per contest in fact it should be 1 entry per contest anyhow

What would be fun is to run every battle to one of the sides is zeroed. So just after the first ten fleets fought their battle all fleets will have another round till one of the 2 is completely zeroed. Might make defence interesting as HP will tend to decrease everytime.

ships power limt because it promotes defence, since you get less power for defence than hp.

I hope so it would give us an event each weekend thats just for kicks and bragging rights that anyone would be able to compete in even against guys way higher than them.

Emi if you have read this thread can you give us an ideal if its doable for you or not ?
