Can someone tell me what it means if a person in the system scan is yellow? I figured if red it's you're not online, green you.re online, but don't know what yellow is.

Thanks,
Zing

its not online and offline, its fleet power and ability to attack...red is out of range, yellow is getting close to being out of range and green is in range

I don't see how it could have anything to do with range as you are in the same system and everything in the system is in range. I was thinking it has something to do with bounty but now believe that it is warp chance as thezerg says. thanks zerg, that solves that mystery.     16

I think it has only a small part to do with warp chance as I have attacked people when green and they still warped and attacked people in the red (over 3 times my fleet power) who didnt warp.

It has to do with their fleet power versus yours. I believe that is what drakken meant by range.

If green - they are almost to your fleet power.
Yellow - slightly higher or lower than your fleet power.
Red - way too low (95% chance of warping) or way too high (0% chance of warping).

yea it is the chance of war that these people have, green meant that they dont have much of a chance of warping

I'd ignore the colour chart associated with system rankings. Just press ranking to check everyones fleetpower and # ships and go from there. You'll only miss good opportunities otherwise. Might be different on the care bear server but you can attack anyone you like on the war server.

Anyone know what do the different colours on the Galactic Map mean ?

As far as I know, the colors on the galactic chart don't have any purpose other than helping you see the quadrant boundaries.
