alright... the way i see it, u have 4 choices designing a ship.
1. randomly throwing together systems
2. guessing and checking until u find the cheapest way to get what u want (what i am stuck doing)
3. knowing the formulas (super smart people only)
&
4. gathering ALL of the data in to massive table and checking from there (requires MOUNTAINS of man hours)

if emi's ok with it... i want to get 300-400 people together to gather all of that data!

so... any takers? (plz just use this branch as a signup sheet)

I would look up different methods of designing. They are all around the ship design section of the forum

It isn't that difficult to build good ships, you just need the formulas for the equiment & experience putting the pieces together  12

HAHAHA this was sort of a desperate last hope... RLY didn't want to have to do 3 or 4 alone. Didn't expect much, didn't get much, hope a few of u laughed, oh well!
-edit-
10-20 people vs 300-400

why dont you just ask someone or look up the formula.. ive seen it before.. cant quite remember it.. i do know the formula for the special and powercore though they usually get you really close to being below 5 cred.. the special usually gets you around 2k cost but still its close special= [(eng*.3)-1399]=Hp powercore- [(total space-13) *400]-79= eng..
correct me if im wrong anyone

I have made a calculater with all formula's in the game in it.

In the past I made a very good one (with the help of a programmer) but lost the program as my pc crashed, but I just filled in space and it would tell me everything else 13

i have found all of them the hard way (including energy and weight cost reduction) with the exception of the regression of percentages ie shields, acu & def%
