Ok, here are some more thoughts...
1) When an alliance is created, it's posted on the news. That could make recruiting easier. It could also help those looking for an alliance.
2)There would be a section in the alliance, like a storage cabinet of srts to store info like designs, base locations, etc. So you won't have to rummage through the messages to find them, and what's more, ranks could be introduced, so not all would have access. For example- a new member would have access to the starter designs, and so much info. If he proves himself, he'll get access to the next level of info, and so on. Hopefully, it'll stop people joining alliances just to get their designs.
