I'm thinking of making a hybrid between the ranking battle system and the SO WARS battle system for the SO main rounds DDAY, so you could be able to use both in the same time, depending on the situation / strategy you want to follow...
The ranking attacks would count as a fleet sending attack at remote locations, giving the defender a counter, and will bypass station defences, while the Galaxy attacks will be available if you see the target in the same solar system, and use the evading system and give counters only on successfull attacks...
I think it could work and make use of both systems in the best way, and it would add more strategy...

I would say that a change is needed sooner rather than later as you know there is a problem when Risk Takers is ranked 5th with only 1 member actually playing.
It seems that there are not a whole lot of active players any longer as the soul of SO has been ripped out and discarded.

Yes, SO WARS is for those with less time and more experience, while SO is for lots of time but they are both fun It's actually the old and new in a very nice combination, that will surely require a lot of tactics to master on the main SO. |

bad guy you can clone your ships from SO on the war server. but you have to build them all new if you want the royalties
oh ya you get non of your designs when you transfer you have to build all new like a new account

No, no they should be kept seprate it would totally ruin the game if they combined it, and let attacks made on the SO server count on the WAR server.

this topic is outdated, the hybrid system is already in place on the SO Main, it's the remote / full assault system.
