- The Mission Contracts page has a new mission type, intelligence contracts.

When you meet a mothership in space and click on the commander name, you will notice a link in the war room where you can create an intelligence report on that commander.

The credits received by the intelligence agent that created the contract depends on the target fleet costs / mothership size as well as the agent / reporter commander level (10 mil credits / level).

Also, two commanders can only exchange two intelligence report contracts between them.

Basically designed for the new commanders that want to make some extra credits by reporting mothership locations.

Update available on the SO server today, and SO WARS tommorow.

God Speed!

This seems like a nice compromise between the old type and ne battle system. Still it requires saving turns and being clever adn sneaky. Thanks Emi, I like the fact this SpaceO is becoming more strategy and thought than just plugging away at missions for money and bonuses.

If they move you won't be able to accept the Intelligence mission. The Council guarantees the target is in the mission location up until the point when you accept the mission.

If you accept the mission and receive the location, and take your time and they move... try again 1

The Intelligence Missions have nothing to do with the Bounty missions, and you're not supposed to receive the credits from the intelligence contract if you accept it 1, it's a _cost_ for the location, the credits are received by some other commander who created the report. You buy the information from another commander.

Just clearing up the questions I've received 1

SO WARS has the Intelligence Contracts now.

One thing I really like is that you can buy your location from there if you see it to keep it a secret. Ransom anyone?  laugh

i dont think you should be able to buy intel missions on someone in a neb.. or at least post the nebs on the top rankings so you can see if you should spend all the cash and turns
