I agree with you smee.  But battling other people doesn't give you credits unless you raid their base, and at this point it isn't much to raid.  Also, if everyone around you has been doing misssions and has powerships that can withstan anything you throw at them even a fleet of 10 thousand ships then missions are helpful to get credits and to get more powerful ships to blow up the other powerships.

well, missions are more like a setback, so he really made that one right, and since ships just keep exploding when u steal em, its pretty hard to make money from war too... =(

thats why i do missions only every so often, although now with the killer fleets number seemingly gone down i do them a bit more than before since i now get 3 mill per 1% missions and i need creds sometimes to buy more powerful ships

missions = credits

turns = credits

wars against other players = segments and/or ships that you can steal

except the only REAL (no offense) step in the right direction of making it worth attacking others... is bounties, everything else is independent of attacking other people, leaving the only reason to attack someone is to bring them down...  not grow yourself.  in fact, the few things you can get by attacking others, more often then not you can get even more of by simply doing the missions.

so in short, we are trying to grow.  if attacking someone else is not going to help do that, then what's the pointof doing it?

I agree that its somewhat pointless to board ships as the chance of stealing the ship is quite low and if you dont get the ship you're out the cost of your marines. I stick to missions and encounters.

The point of attacking another person isn't to gain anything yourself, but it's to beat that guy down the ranks...
That's what attacks are for if you ask me, but that's just me, and who am I?

(But I'm doing fine, while I see every1 complaining about every1 and everything, kinda funny... Yeah I lose ships aswell, but that's what you build up a secret base for, and sometimes you lose the ship you just bought back again, yeah sh*t happens. Ever heard of: get beaten, fall down, get up, STRIKE BACK HARDER!
