- added a search input box when making alliance truce or joining an alliance
- will make it easier to locate the alliance and make truces

Uhm, it's pretty d**n easy to do both of those things already. Nobody even uses truces anymore. There's SO MANY things you could've done...

There was a problem with commanders trying to join an alliance and couldn't find it because the select box was too big.

That's mainly the issue that was addressed in the update, so commanders can now search and join an alliance more easily.

Have you anything planned for near future in regards to updates?

I think something needs to be done just to give the game a new twist to keep people occupied and interested.  Each round has been the same in the last year, so many of the top players just do the same routine as they've always done... need something to make them start thinking again!

I agree with Saturn.. I took a break for a year, came back for the last 5 weeks of the round and made 3rd place..

i agree with everyone ridiculing you for the lack of updates.

instead of making it easier to find alliances and fix issue no 1 cared about cant you make an exciting change that will revolutionize the game forever??

eg. people only join alliances so other people wont attack them.

why dont we make it more worth someones while to join an alliance?

have an alliance bank or allaince research that gives small percentage bonuses.

have a percentage of peoples income go into an alliance for the leader to build ships that defend all members?


something to liven up the game i havent played in years and its still the same.

PS. if you do the above changes ill come play and i promise not to swear in chat for 3 days.

I agree, alliances should play a bigger role. I'll be working on adding an alliance bank, that can be supplied with credits from members or by the leader setting a tax rate to be applied to missions of alliance members.

Then, the alliance bank can be used to buy fleets that can then be assigned to alliance members.

The alliance fleets will have an alliance tag and will only be useful in protecting against attack on the alliance member mothership.
The member will see the fleets but will not be able to control it, the fleet will just protect the member mothership and will be under the leader's control.

The alliance fleets assigned to a member can not exceed 50% of the alliance member total power.

An attacker will see the alliance fleet power protecting the mothership he is trying to attack, in addition to the target's power. Attack warnings will be issued if the target power plus alliance fleets power are high.

After that, we'll add the module with alliance ranks, then the leader will be able to create a rank and assign permissions, so other alliance members with the right permissions can buy alliance fleets / assign the fleets to alliance members protection.

your a legend.

will the alliance fleets affect the members power. eg: will it bump them up into someone elses attack range if they have the alliance fleets defending them?

alliance ranks sounds awesome too - would it be possible to show stats on who has contributed what??

any chance of adding at a later date something similar to "your Commander" skills for the aliances?? - pay into them with cp/cash?

This update sounds pretty cool, but I think it might cause more problems than it's worth.  Kyle your suggestion is terrible, no offense.  One of the biggest problems with the game at the moment, and the reason there are so few active players, is that there is always one alliance that dominates the entire game, and unless you are in that alliance, it often seems as though it is impossible for you to achieve anything in the game.  These suggestions might further that problem (especially Kyle's suggestions).  We need to make it so that people DON'T have to have an alliance to succeed.  In my opinion, the game would actually be better off if alliances didn't exist than with these suggested updates
