Hey just thought of this idea and it seemed like an amazing add to the game! Add a new item called Encounter Probes, a rare and 3rd addition to the probes used in quadrant map. Basically when you use it, there is a chance it can detect if there are encounters in the quadrant your in however it does not tell you which planet has them. I mean encounters like Gold Transport, Endangered Planet etc. And if the probe succeeds it would say something like..
Our scanners have located encounters in this quadrant: 3x Endangered planets 2x Gold Transports 1x Black Hole 2x Super Nova 1x Special Mission
On a fail attempt it would say, Scanners failed to scan quadrant
Success but no encounters could say: Our scanners successfully scanned quadrant but found no encounters.
These probes would be a rare find as well nothing like the other 2 probes. So emi? what you think?
EDIT for double post: also forgot to add.. the encounters would be for your range only. obviously though right? lol

Hmm.. an interesting idea. It could be good to see it implemented as it could save a lot of turns thus speeding up the growth of players. It could work but because of the rarity it would only really benefit the higher powered players as they find the rarer items.

yes but the thing is it could be set up so it has same chances to drop for anyone regardless of their fleet power and also would have a random amount drop if it does drop regardless of the fp of whatever you attacked.
example: 100mil fp drops 45x encounter probes ---------100bil alien drops 32x Encounter probes
item distribution doesn't have to be set up where higher aliens give more of an item all the time. in this case it would work better this way as it gives a fair chance to all players

Ahhh yes I see. I think they should be a queen or commander item though. This makes them more rare and that way lower players still have a chance of getting them via hidden aliens. It would also provide a cap for the amount dropped rather than 99 which would make them far too common.

Interesting idea, needs a little work, but could be good and save time. Thanks for the suggestion, hopefully Emi'll see it!

I like this idea, but I also don't think that there needs to be even drops for lower power players, as these wouldn't really benefit low power players much anyway. The high power players are the ones who need to be looking for encounters, so it would benefit them much more... I like the idea though

- new fleet power formula will be implemented for SO Main on the new round.
- each point of ship defence absorbs 10 points of damage instead of 5 previously.
- secret base production / interest is every 60 minutes. No change in production / day.
- increased the power of hidden interactive encounters.
