- re-balanced the contract rewards, will no longer determine reward by commander level or fleet power, but active fleets cost

Is the power that the fleet appear still using the old formula, or is it also based on ship cost?

I'm still experimenting but the idea is you can make 144 contracts / day and that you should get about 0.70% of your ships worth in credits for a 1% mission and more for higher difficulty. So basically, if you do 144 contracts you get 0.007*144 = 1.008 => +100% increase / day if you do 1% missions. For higher missions gain can be higher, at 10% mission will give 2x more, and a 255% would give about 45x more reward.

Also, you can increase the mission rewards / difficulty yourself, if you buy extra ships, like boarding, power ships etc.

That's the basic idea.

Hot d**n that's from 1% missions. If I continue to do this I might probably lose mains. Btw I only have mains out and it turns out like that. I think it still needs a lil bit o tweakin


EDIT: I only use 3 mains because you said that the rewards are based on total fleet cost means it'll add more power to the mission. I almost lost a main with only 3 ships what more if I add a tail?

To make it worse you can't always win the mission. Sometimes it takes me like 4 times to win a mission due to lack of damage done by my ships :p

Yeah, he said he's still experimenting, but I agree there are flaws.

EDIT:

Missions are pumping out on average 2x the power of the reward, which on a 1% is 4x my lead's fp. Now, haven't lost a ship yet, but tone it down. Make the average fp equal to the reward or something?

Just half the rewards. That the power of the enemy can get over 3x the reward is quite good.

lost my tail on a 1%, and with no pships out. this should never ever ever ever happen. and i already sent sir emi an ingame message with fleet power details. im sure it will be resolved very soon. and as i said on another topic... this is a new server and early on in its development. bugs and other issues are going to occur and be sorted out. its just how it is. this is also a good reason not to reset the server. we should get all this sorted out before the new round.

ok emi little bit to much of an increase i think about half of the current lvls would be good. good enough reward but low enough so that u cant die 13

ok so are we still tweaking or what? obviously spayed has figured something out but the rest of us are in the dark here. im gonna run out of money trying to test stuff, and then ill really be screwed because i cant over a 1%. Emi, have you tested higher end fleets in the trills and quads yet? because you need to. there is a big change between the 1.3 bill design i was testing and the 650 bill design i tested. with my 1.3 bill design, a 1% was a little less than 1 ships fp. but with the 650 bill, a 1% was more than 3 times 1 ships fp.

you just need the correct ships and the correct fleet set up...

but the start of next round is going to be a killer. it does get easier with higher lvls because you get a bigger ship bonus and obviously your commander stats improve aswell.

the easiest way to fix it in my mind would be to reduce the difficulty and reward from between 25-50% next round
