Its a great idea to put all noobs into an alliance to get impartial advise and give them a start in the game. So thumbs up for that, however, personally, I feel it totally wrong to have an experienced player promoting their ship designs to the new players as a means of securing a royalty revenue scheme.

Can we have a policy (or is it correct of me to even suggest this) that advise should be on how to design and play the game NOT buy my ships because you don't know any better!

I've addressed this issue with Jonathan myself, even though its not against any rules, its a bit underhand. I never push any designs of my own, if someone asks for them I'll tell them what they are called. As a rule I will just direct them so that they know how to clone and suggest what type of ships they should be looking for.... or advise them to check with their alliance in case they have a good alliance design.
Any experienced player in the training alliance should be neutral and not be there for personal gain.
