Re-post for obvious reasons. Well mostly because I've been opposed to the Donations from the moment it was created (go, look at the update where he added it in, you're find my rants :p)

I want a game where people play for rank, not money.  And the obvious abuse with high winnings is killing the game slowly.  I mean come on, the same guys keep getting top ten cause they win, donate 50$, build a planet or mining facility, and BAM! 2-3 weeks ahead of the rest of the game, why?  cause they donated 50$ they won the last round.

well its not really the same people everyround. there have been a few new ones every round.. and being opposed to donation is just stupid.. thats what keeps the game alive..

and its easier to learn the game then ever before.. so many guides and poop. even a training alliance..

sure lower rewards but u will lose more players then u keep..

No, he couldn't.  look at his number - It took him till a round where he was able to donate to ever place. Quite frankly i don't think he could place top ten without donations, he just doesn't have the skill.

there was a good 7 or 8 rounds before the donation started that he played...  then 2-3 rounds later (when the rewards doubled) (and  that resource reward for 50$ appeared)suddenly he got "amazing" at the game.  he would never place top without donating.

I do think with this gay top 20 thing..lower top 10 rewards and give top 20 rewards..might as well..your telling noobs top ten doesn't matter if they get close..

Lower the reward to attract real players (not those who look at money and play)  and broaden the reward base so new players don't quit thinking its futile to keep playing cause they'd never beat the top ten.

agreed with pirate... maybe 100 is a bit beefed up but hell im in the top 5ish right now and doing pretty good and i only used 5$ of donations on main.. i used most of my prize money for cp on wars... its all about how you play.. there just isn't that many good players anymore.. we usually have about 8 good players each round and they show it, kyle is a good player.. those floating around 10-20 on dday are just decent.. most are newer or just havent learned the game that well.. you can't punish the top few because there isn't much competition anymore.. and i've never seen kyle to cheat.. he keeps within the tos, or at least everytime i have played with him he has.. theres other people you need to be telling the tos too

heh i have already proved myself lamma and think back. even in those rounds before i started making top 10 i was always up there and i quit half way thru the game.. and it did take a while for me to learn.. the people that play the game with me now they know how i play.. hell i taught them a few things.. wes considering the strategy you are using this round is exactly what i told you to do. and i taught you plenty you are going to go here and say you dont respect me? guess the help stops there ay..

and wolfy does make a good point , ill go back to destroying everyone.. just like i have been doing the past many rounds... i wish you all luck u will need it

that reminds me. last 2 rounds i played. spayed kept attacking me. then after i 0red him. he would ask me how i did that. so i would give him pointers. cuz easy kills r no fun at all. then last round i played. it would seem that he listened. i couldn't 0 him no more. it's all about learning. u can have all the cash in the world to donate to SO. but without skills. u will still get killed. same arguement lamma used 5 years ago. i never forget. it's a curse most times tho. but the few times like now it's very useful. so that 100 dollars for winning first ain't nothing without skills to back it.
