i agree that this will be an awesome upgrade to the game but it also gives just one more reason to add the ability to look all the way through the rankings

How can it be that I destroy the highest 3 fleets of the six encountered fleets (so basicly destroying 50% as highest are always the stronger) and still getting unsufficient damage inflicted? E if you want the battle stats I'll PM them to you.

for encounters you only need to detroy 30%, but it's quite possible you ran into costly ships on the first 3 places, and their power was reduced after they were ranked by their power. So it could be that the last 3 fleets had more than 70% of the total armada.

Could you plz make it work again e did 3 encounters 3 times destroyed first 3 fleets out of 6 so should be 50%. But everytime I got insufficient damage. HAve battle reports of 2 of them.

ive been repeatedly attacking ancient commander and all it does is make me attack the previous player such as finalimpact :-\

ok you said that the opposeing fleets would not cost more than your own fleets then why was my fleets completely destroyed?? 5 of the AAAAAAAAAAAAA2's cost a little more than my armada then how can there be so many more enimies?

I had the same I have swarmers that cost me less then 4k each and I had to face way more swarmers then I had (2,5x as much swarmers) and not even all were swarmers I sended battle report to emi 10

Nope first 3 I did not have inflicted sufficient power. Were destroying more then half of the fleets looked form the up.

Last time lost for 145 mill ships :S

well, FTP, the question has already been ansered to about the top 3 being killed but not winning, but drackin i have no idea except unless you didnt include resupply costs (if u have gold) since it would take the base costs of ur fleets, sicne emi said all based on cost :s

To zephyrblade: The attack player name or id in the war room should be cleared if you want to go to the enocunter. If it's not cleared, and it has a number, the attack will go to the player instead. I will make a patch to this, so it will clear automatically.

The cost calculator for missions and encounters takes into account your fleets cost*2.5, that's 2.5 x fleet costs as base, so yeah, the fleets you encounter should no more than 2.5 your fleets cost.

E.g.: To experiment, make some I Shuttles, get everything else into reserve. Then, try an encounter. You will notice you meet no oposition, or a very small one. The reward will be adjusted in that case, so you won't get much of a reward using this tactic... (close to a glitch actually)

Encounters should not be done if you have a small % of your power in fleet power, e.g. you have 20 mil power (15 mil resources and 5 mil fleets), and try to complete a 20 mil encounter. Odds are against you then, your 5 mil fleets will go against 20 mil fleets, that can have 2.5 your total fleets cost... 10

My sugesstion is to control the encounter fleets you meet by controling your total fleets, and also try to have more fleet power than resource power, that will surely happen in the future, since comanders start at a 90% to 10% ratio on resource -> fleets, and end up at a 10% -> 90% ratio in some time.

Basically, at this rate, and with some commander bonuses, encounters will start to be more and more profitable, and affordable, but they are a little hard now, but don't be discouraged, the ballance will turn in your favour soon 1
