What is FP?

Is 1 FP = 1 att X 1 acu?

What I mean is, if the ship has 1 billion att and 10% acu, does it have 100 thousand FP?

In the "General Discussion" section http://forum.spaceo.net/index.php/topic,5293.0.html I was told that an encounter having 20 million FP can kill a ship with a billion HP.

If 20 million FP can kill 1 billion HP ship, then, is 1 FP = 50 HP or so?

The longer I play this game, the more confuse I get ! 3 3 3 3 3

FP = Fleet Power is just a rough estimate on how strong a ship is, taking into account attack, health, and defence (more or less). Attack proves the most fleet power, with health (and whatever else) providing significantly less. Accuracy is not factored in.

A fleet with twenty million fleet power could have a combined health of ten billion, one billion, or anything, really. It all depends on how much the fleet's other stats are contributing to the total.

Beyond being a (very) rough estimate of strength, fleet power does not affect anything during actual battles, although it is dependent upon stats that do matter.
