http://home.comcast.net/~sjfebf22/SO/ShipDesigner.htm

Use a hull size of 60606060 for a 10 bil ship

Play around a little with the other numbers

If you need more help let me know.

If you want to include the marine cost then divide how much you  want it to cost by 265.
If you don't want to include the marines divide how much you want the ship to cast by 165.
For example I want a ship that cost 100 million including marines. So 100,000,000/265 = 377,358
So I would use 377,358 as my ships space.

you bring up a good point, I suppose I could make it easier if there was a way to enter your target ship cost

perhaps i can make that change in a few weeks

That would be nice.
Any chance you can make it so we can set it to aim for a certain abs. and/or acu.?
I noticed it has a target for them but they are grayed out and you can't type what you want in 10

yeah, I can make it have a target abs and acc.  I am not sure why you would want that though as it is designed to find the optimum setting.  If you want a ship that has more or less attack then you simply change the percent to Attack setting.

I suppose you are asking for a way to design non cost effective ships (i.e. tinies or the like).  The web page is not currently designed for that but can be very helpful in doing it all the same.  I doubt I will look into that any time soon, but then again, I might.

NO not tinies I hate the d**n things.
I mean like having it target for say 60% ABS so that a 34% item maxes the it to 80%
I suck at shield stacks so for me that could be very helpful.

in that case just include you expected item bonus in the acc and abs bonus boxes

say your commander has 10% acc bonus, and you will use a +34% acc bonus item, then design a ship where you enter 44 into the ACC Bonus box.
