Just about ten minutes from the creation of this topic, i was voting for 50millionc credits for all ten links.
When i got to like 5 or 6, something bad happened.
I clicked 5 or 6 and the webpage popped up.
Then another one popped up, and like 5 popped up every second and it wouldn't stop and in 30 seconds i had about over 100 internet explorer links, so i was forced to restart my computer.
Any leads?

Hm, please reply with the vote website that sent the spam, so we can remove it from the list.
A good popup blocker should also do the trick. I'll click and see if I can find the site.

Thank you

It should be link #6, but it could also be link #5
and the links are for the 50million credit vote so dont confuse them.
And i do have a pop-up-blocker, two of them.

Can i get something for my inconvienance?  19

Nothing huh?
There were instances that people sued online games because they were hacked when they were interacting with them....and they won.

I mean, i could already have a virus or trojan on my computer....and i could afford a good lawyer  12

I've had a somewhat similar problem, but it occurs randomly.... on one of the links around 6,7, or 8, when I open the link to vote it freezes then an error message comes up with send or don't send, and then I have to restart the internet. But thats all that happens, and it isn't consisetent.

canshow, how about a little ban? You didnt get hacked, just some pop-ups came up. btw, such a lawsuit would never stand up in court, because (for one thing) its not emi's fault.

First of all, I agree with the above that it is the site's fault, not Sir E's. Second- you are under a danger of getting a virus every time you get onto any site without a proper firewall, so what, sue the entire internet? Get a better popup blocker, like coolweb shredder. Third- you will need some hard evidence, for all we know you could be faking it to get money out of it. And fourth-since there was no damage done, you can't bring anything up against S.O.

Take a joke, the last thing i would ever sue is an online game. And I got a McAffee, Trend Micro, and google popup-blocker, so i guess that makes 3 from basic knowledge. A good firewall? I have two of three, not to mention a filter.

And from what you guys said, i know its not my computer because i had 2 pop-up blockers and only opened them for pve.spaceo.net, so it wouldn't be likely for a spam attack.
Still if its the sites that you guys said, then why not remove them and put in different ones? It's not that much work.
Anyways,
I don't know how you could sue an online game or websites, seems impossible.
