I suppose I should make my alliance known here. The Defenders is a peaceful alliance. All truce requests will be accepted, unless I have a very good reason otherwise. At this point I have no reason to refuse any request.

We have a rule that requires posting of attacks against us in the alliance chat. So if you have a question about an attack from any member of the alliance, just ask. I'll look and see if a report has been made. Inside the alliance, I do not accept the log entry as a report of an attack, It has to be the report recieved from logging in, or from the mail if they were online at the time.

Rough translation: We will not attack first.

If a member does make an attack unprovoked (not a counter attack) they will recieve one and only one warning. If their actions continue, they will be removed from the alliance. Of course I have to know about their actions. Which is where you questioning about attacks will identify the problem.

This is all you get when you were the defensive in the battle. Granted it varies depending on the type of attack. And for your information the record is 19 attacks in one post... made by me . It ended with me in a nebula.

Besides I don't advertise that I'm recruiting because of the strict policy. So I have at present 4 members with one on probation . Surprisingly enough he is somewhat inactive in the alliance board. I have 1 other active member in the alliance, however.

ah, but if one of your people joins DDay list when it goes off, you may find 100+ attacks, one time I sat there watching in 1 hour alone, 100-200+ attacks while on-line!

  you make a good point ars68. You, however, also forgot to mention the last 24 hours... Perhaps a modification of the rule rather then repealing it completly. During the last 24 hours or if you are on the dday list, a large number of attacks is expected, therefore just post the name and number of attacks, as you won't really have the chance to counter in the last 24 hours, and on the dday list you make yourself a very large target to everyone in range of you. Thanks for pointing that out ars. I'll post the modification on the alliance board later. I thank you for pointing out the error in my logic.

Even I would prefer that lammalord. However it would be more fesable if I could clear the alliance board of unneeded posts at the end of the round.

I guess I need to decide if I want to maintain my current policy or make the modification mentioned in my previous post. I'll talk with the unofficial second of my alliance when he gets back from where ever the college band went to.

wait tell the end of the round!!! man your crazy if you have a decent alliance that would mean like... like.. a good 2 hours of cleaning up.. cause i mean you dont want to delete EVERYTHING only the stuff that isnt improtant.. in my alliance i delete all the stuff unneded put keep up the ship designs and stragys so that new people can go back and look for them

ya Wizard did that with the ddd.. we had like 300 post when he was cleaning out.. took him like 2 hours.. do like weekly clean ups that what i do.. much easer and its not a drag in the end

Maybe I need to clean it up now then. Good suggestion. Store a back up of deleted posts in Microsoft Word until the end of the round then. I guess I didn't notice that the alliance leader can delete any post. oops. I guess I won't change the policy after all then. Sorry ars.

ars, that'll probably be the first time I clean the board (after I get back from fencing club). I'll edit this message with the time it takes for the first time. But after that I plan on doing it almost daily.

Nope, first time only took 25 minutes. I removed all the posts and reposted anything I thought was important after backing it all up.

It isn't that hard to sort it out. Ship designs offered by other players, rules, alliance member list, probably a list of alliances not to attack while I'm on vacation.
