Calender events?

Jw what exaclty is classifeid as a calender event...cause tehres been a few mjaorish things lately and i know i havent seen them on here....

When you click on "Calendar" and add an event, you can make a topic for it.
I belive this is what this areas for.

i still dont really see a point in this i think it should be removed.. or something emi only can post on when he wants to add new updates.. but then thats in the projects thread..
