Combining shield

Hi everyone.
I am playing Space Odyssey since 2 days, so i am not an expert
I tried to read the forum but i couldn't came up with an answer to this question: How do i calculate multiple shields?

For example, i know that 27%+27%+25%+20% = 46%.

Is there any formula to calculate that?

I would really appreciate an answer, thank you and good game.

There is a formula on the forum posted multiple times. However, its not correct. Its close though and should give you a rough idea
