alright, i need someone with a gold account to check out this fleet: Silens Terminus Mark V

(or just read the stats)

weight = 49 cost = 8115

weapon (x1) =
atk       acu      weight      energy       cost
19740   14%     4             645             3

special (x1) =
def      hp       weight       energy      cost
2        109         6            6027           9

shields (x1) =
abs       weight       energy       cost
4              6           1249           14 (or 13 not sure)

power core (x1) =
gen     weight        cost
7921       33             3

i know it sucks but i cant quite figure how to fix it without jacking up the cost. final design needs to be under 100 weight (preferably under 60) and maintain stats at least equal to what they are right now. not rly sure how this will turn out, but i am experimenting with swarmers in the last combat slot so note that right now this means its number will be limited to about 10 mil.

i'm kinda new to swarmer designing, i've got a good kami and i've messed with pships but this is my first even semi-successful swarm attempt. plz help and don't judge, we all have to start somewhere.

---edit---

alright i was rereading some of the help and it looks to me that i just shot for too small of a design, but hey, if any of u guys can help fix this existing version, that would be awesome too.

---end edit---

drop the special and use armour instead, this will mean more power to the weapon or less space and i would say also drop the sheild

you could get the following (47 space not 49)

Attack     Defence     Hitpoints     Accuracy     Absorb     Cost/Ship
24531            0               1596       10 %           00 %          8.110

also im not the best but this is what ive learned and smaller hulls are better

i know ur goal here was to design ur own swarmer, but if want any of my designs just mail me in-game. since we are allied 1 id be happy to give u any of my swarmer designs. (i have about 30 different ones lol)

the bigger you go with swarmers, the more cost effective u get. although the smaller they are, the more bang u get for the fleet power.

if u are planning on defending with swarmers, i would suggest a superswarmer.

i dont want to really give out my tactics here, but mail me if your interested.

Silence -

Generally swarmers in the 15 to 30 size range are the most cost effective.

For those size swarmers you only use; Armour, Powercore, Weapons.

If you want to use a swarmer with a special - then I suggest you go for a larger ship design.  However, in general they arent going to be competitive with the small swarmers.

Theres a fairly short list of components that you can put into a small swarmer - if you mess around with the designer a bit you will likely stumble across the best Powercore and Armour sizes.

Installing weapons on a small swarmer is probably the trickiest thing - you have to decide what kind of fleet power profile versus attack power suits your fleet set up.  But again - just experiement with the designer.

For ships this small, you dont really need any equations - you can happily use trial and error because the components all have to fit into a small hull - so theres a finite number of good variations.

for cost effectiveness, u can get the best calculated atk and hp, meaning acc and abs included on bigger designs.

ya... i'm not rly sure what i'm looking for i'll try smaller/armor and bigger. ultimately i am looking for a swarmer that can fill my 10 combat slot. i tested my original design with a 10bil cred fleet and it failed miserably so i guess the only way to go is up.

well the 10th fleet isn't usually supposed to deal the most damage, so i would say bigger is a good choice.

Correction - you can get the best HP ratio out of superswarmers - but the attack power is very low compared to a small swarmer.  Superswarmers cant compete because small swarmers get thier attack power for free - you simply arent paying any energy for it - theres a positive constant value in the weapon equation, its quite a large value, especially when you multiply it a billion times.

Thats how PShips work - they have free energy for their guns.

yea thats what i said, they wont deal the same damage, but the 10th position in my mind isn't supposed to deal large amounts of damage
