this question is for the Design stratagy section. you just have to play with the numbers a bit it takes time to do it. If you have a gold account I can sell you some very good ships if you dont have the time to make them yourself

First of all do not steal another man avatar! Stealing another man avatar don't let you to attack anybody. Avatar is directly connected to your mothership. My avatar is connected to my mothership. Avatar that you steal from my profile is linked to my mothership. And untill you get your own avatar you cannot to attack anyone.

1: 100 credits cost means that the cost is really in the negative (of cost is <1, cost will equal 1000)
2: that means the number or name you typed in does not exist. you need to remember though, it is case sensitive, so there is the same difference as ID number 2341 and 2342, as there is between jake and Jake.
3: if that is the case, I want everyone who has my avatar to quit copying me! it really doesn't matter, take it as a compliment, he liked your avatar so much he uses it himself.
