ok... f**k this... this was a pretty easy mission for somewhere near 350mil, which i do easily all the time... worst case losing smallest ship... adn wham... my ships cost

Basically, they get a fleet worth 3 times as much as mine with ALOT more power adn i am 100% screwed for the rest of the round, set back weeks... And im not buildign back up, so screw this i am most likely just gonna quit... cause no way yo ucna call this a "strategy game" when you get  unlucky, adn are messed up for months... emi i could care less about new updates if stuff like this happens, id rather have a game with only a few minor updates if the gameplay worked correctly... i probably could build back up again, but im not gonna waste my time doing it just so i can lose it all again... good chance you wont be seeing much more of me for a while...

I think a lot of players are getting fed up with these "killer" fleets, it is getting quite out of hand already and its just the beginning of the round. I'm not on that much anymore, I kinda lost the drive for this game, I know the game isnt supposed to be easy but this is ridiculous.

Hellsword I have not experienced any of these as of yet.  I hear ABI hit some thing similar today.  however, It seems to be in the fleet configuration you fly as to the success of the missions and the sweet spot in the mission %s.too big you loose, too small you loose.  It is weird, but each of the TH commanders have thier own sweet spot and it is constanly changing as level and power change.  We take looses, but as of yet from what I understand only ABI has taken a devistating loss as of yet.

and if u dont find that sweet spot within 2 or 3 knockdowns, u just get tired n quit playing instead as u realize that the mission difficulty setup is just too stupid and unlogical =)

why dont just emi cap the number of ships so we wouldnt have to encounter millions of swarmers like killer fleet. maybe emi should cap it at 1000 ships or 10000.

times like this is getting frustrated  ranting2, last round i couldnt even get above 36 billion power since my ships are getting destoryed before i make enough credits from missions to resupply it again. i'm gonna try something different this round hopely it would reduce the number of encounters vs killer fleets. since i encountered them average around 50-60 missions, all the missions are 1% which is a bit ridculious.

Skill doesnt count for poop anymore... ya either get unlucky and get killed off by a kill fleet, or get lucky but then get passed by som1 who just donates... i think im jsut about done with SO...

I wouldn't go that far for leaving SO.  Now, this might just be me since i don't spend billions of credits on 1 or 2 incredibly powerful powerships, but maybe instead of doing mothership contracts, you just do galaxy contracts, or bounty missions.  Then again, mothership contracts usually do have better deals, since they are worth only like 1 million power and give you like 1.5 million power for the first level on 1%.  But i conpletely agree.  I was doing easy 1% and 2% missions with about 1mill fleet power from 2 power ships and i encountered a killer fleet a number of times, each time i lost both powerships and i probably wasted a total of 1000 turns.  SO isn't much skill anymore, so i agree with everyone who has said it.  Since galaxy contracts are harder, and less common, and so you can't always get the same amount of creds as if you were doing mothership contracts, then Emi, you should lower the amount of killer fleets.  Last round it wasn't so bad, but it hasn't even been two weeks (or maybe it has, and i just lost track of time) and people are complaining.

Now I know i haven't been seen much on this forum but i do read it and follow it. The skill of this game really is going away quickly. I understand that when you put this much time and energy into a project that you don't like to hear critisms of it. But when a number of your most prominent players are quiting you should take notice. I know you work hard on this game Sir Emi, but most of the complaints of this round are the same ones form last round. It seems that for the most part they are being dismissed as players whining about bad luck. I have run into these killer fleets myself, but have never had a big problem with it because I don't usually have expensive ships. But, they are there.

Also, knowing you, you probably have the fleet calculator turned off which would turn off the check to see if fleets engaged cost the same as fleets sent into battle.

I see nothing wrong with the battle report. Honestly, I encounter missions like that all the time, however my ships are solid and stable and I have them in a proper set up so there is no chance a mission like that can destroy my fleets.

killer fleets are reduced and stopped in two ways now, both of which nicholas mentioned:
1.Fleet cost calculator ON
2.Proper mission fleets and set up

i attacked a 350 mil fleet qith about 1 bil fp...and of course...1 FLEET OF SWARMERS!!! 2,5 mil swarmers...they took my led ship -> 500 mil fp (30 bil) and almost my nr 2 ship too...to make it worse the mission failed and i got no insurance...

of course i am still mad but i dont give up...
i didnt lose every ship...but anyway i lost half my fp right after i bought that ship
