i have a ship worth 30 mill so i don't know if you would like it...it has a ratio of 1: 17 attack to health

no, 1:17 ratio is way to much, 1:2 or 1:3 is much better.  actually, with the current setup of missions as it is now, I would not advise using ships any smaller then a 50 mil hp boat class ship, any less and you can almost expect losses, sometiems before you even get the ship paid back off from rewards.
