yea, that is annoying, deleting designs just to sell a ship, but vampier, we can't allow people to give ships to other players, there would be too many people exploiting that bug.

on this I was thinking like some thing like put them up on the auction block for like an hour to let folks bid on them start the bidding at like 30% base price that way folks could get a deal and we could get a better deal than just scraping them.

if it is done that way there should be some kind of fee the seller has to pay (like ebay) so that people dont overload the auction with a bunch of worthless designs hoping someone will buy it. The fee doesnt have to go to anything, just have it disappear from the sellers account. If the ship sells they get the fee back, if it doesnt sell they lose it. 10% would be a good place to start - $1 billion fee for selling a $10 billion ship.

Then again this could also lead to feeding a lower account by telling them what to design / how to design the ship and then buying it from them through the auction block.

The more I think about it, this is a really great idea but somehow people will also find a way to abuse it.

It would be wonderful if people would just play the GAME, and be happy with it without trying to find ways to manipulate it.

By now all everyone can see is blah blah blah 3, so i will end my ranting and raving here. :yawn:ITS JUST MY OPINION - DONT HAVE A COW 4

not really since the starting bid is 30% base price. and if you are going to scarpe it anyway why not see if some one would want to use it.  but I do see what you mean  about it being abused, to avoid that we coiuld put a power limit on those that can see fleets of certian power levels, ie  it has to be within 50% of your normal fleets to begin with in order to make a bid,  if they dont sell the seller takes an additional 20% from just normal scrap penetly. and youi can only recieve 10% more than a normal scrap if you would have just scraped them this is to make it a bit more credits for the one scraping them but also let lesser commanders have a chance to bid on a better fleet for a better price than they could just out right buy it.  also we can make a rule that the fleet has to have history and has to have been used by the commader before it can be put up on auction this it to keep rich commanders from just buying cheap ships for his allies and selling them to them for nothing. you know the fleet has to have been used on X number of missions or some such.  Since we already fleet logs this should not be a big deal.

seem like you got it planed out 1 and yeah it would be to have this implemented, but lets say you have 100 Bill and you wanna resupply your tail ship for 30 bill and you accidently buy 2 of them, id like to be able to sell one and not both too

that is the reason that they have to be used ship and have a history to keep that from happening. and if you dont sell they youi get 10% less than if you would have just scraped it

that is why the ships price is taken like everything else... it goes off o fthe reduced price, not actual.  then, having hgih assembly line just means the person buying it gets it a bit cheaper is all 1
