Shield's

OK we have the perfect shield list, but what is the cheapest way for me to make the highest abs on my ship (which i believe is 80%), i used to know what it was but Ive forgotten, this will also be very helpful for new players, once added maybe it should be put on the end of the perfect shields list?

well to get 80% off of just sheilds and no bonuses is EXTREMELY inefficient
on main server its effective to get maybe 70% off of sheilds, on wars id say more like 73% cuz cp are more rare  and its hard for new players to get stations and mm bonuses

I would just like to know the most efficient way to get shield's to 80, if the most efficient is with bonus's, so be it, it'd just be nice to know the cheapest way to do this (don't say a %&$* load of shield bonuses, because that is just silly).

The more bonuses you have, the more efficient your shield system is. So, there is no absolutely most efficient way if you include bonuses. You'd have to use formulae, with the input being your combined bonus, or whatever.

I personally have no idea as to what these formulae would be. They may or may not include a unreasonable amount of shields, however. It could just end up being a question of how small of an improvement is your time ultimately worth.

well it also all depends on your ships size... the smaller you are the lower your abs would be... my abs on a ship top out at about 70% then the rest is from bonuses... but i dont think my shield stack is very efficient... just find a shield stack to get you around 73 or 74 then get some bonuses to do the rest

most people have their own stacks of sheilds that they like to keep to themselves. i'm the same way, so sorry m8, but try fooling around with sheilds. we all have at one point.

yep.. make a really really big ship.. then a really big powercore.. then go to buy fleet put 0 as the number of ships.. then put ur powercore on.. then just start testing ur shield stacks

A good way to get to a specific absorb is to take the total abosorb you want EX: 80%, Then cut the number in half EX: 40. Then put 7 of those shields on.

X/2 * 7 = X, where X is your total absorb.

It will get you to about + or - 1%.

7X40% is way too much energy.

if u want something, shoot for 70-73ish

if what sin said still works, then by all means use it, but there are better combos still.
