i got attacked earlier took out all my best ships over 500 mill worth but how come after i got beat it kept rebuying marines i would have been ok with this but my ships had like 100 mil marines on and i was losing like 90 mil per attack is there a way to turn this off

yes, deposit the credits in your stash or reserve the fleets... it's because if you get boarded and your fleets survive, the system will try to compensate so the attacker can not kill marines with multiple boarding attacks if you have a big ship for example... so if you have 100 mil marines, it will try to get you the 100 mil back and prepare for the next wave.
