I have heard so many players complaining about the basic income system being changed since last round. It is also my opinion that old missions be brought back. I used to enjoy fighting for Black Holes in the galaxy in order to do missions those 1% missions. It was pretty exciting.  1


P.S.- Spread the topic(http://forum.spaceo.net/index.php/topic,2000.0.html) around if you wanna get something done. Otherwise this poll is pointless.

the old missions are still around midnight, go to mission contracts, and click mothership contracts. those are the old missions, lol.

 confused confused confused.... laugh... laugh... laugh... The missions aren't even close to how they used to be bro. I have no idea how you can even say they are still around. I am referring back to where missions depended on power, not level. Sorry if I confused you???  21

I totally agree that the missions last round were better, even though this is only my second round it seemed like some of the enjoyment was gone.

With things set up to go by cmdr lvl, those who could spend many hours online could do alot better than those who only have a limited time online. Im not saying they are any less deserving of where they are, just that it would seem impossible to get there if you can only logon for maybe an hour a day.

This is not a complaint - just an observation as Im not sure if I will be gaming as much this year.

oh, ok, I see what you mean, and ya, I thought you meant just around period. But While that would be nice, it caused a lot of problems. Frankily, I'm all for just eradicating all those things, those being galaxy missions, mothership missions, and galaxy encounters, and leaving it with bounty hunt contracts, and rank encounters. That would mean that PvP would be the main way to grow, and donating for turns would have less effect. It would also slow the game down enough for those who can't be on all the time.

see that's the thing, we rarely had truce back then, we had one, maybe two, no more then four at any time though, everyone else was fair game. and as choatic as that sounds, it was actually nice. Everyone truces now because they want to do nothing but sit and fight the computer and not lose any ships because a better player hit them. This is also known as "OMG, so dull" syndrome.

the basic idea behind missions (as I see it) is to grow more powerful so you can more easily put the hurt on other people... but people are just sitting there and trying to grow using missions and not even bothering with attacking other people... why?

because you don't get anything out of attacking other people

I mean, sure, you get to watch them suffer a couple attacks...  and you get a couple segments...

but then they get the enjoyment of using counters on you even more, whether you go into neb or not

and the segments you do get, is little compared to what you get in missions... and even then segments really ISN'T used for a whole lot anyway, the ONLY exception being high number of workers (which is pointless way high up) the market (which, also, is pretty much you and the computer) and building more stuff with segments.

if there is any other way to make my point here more clear, please, tell me, because I'm getting tired of having to say this over and over again (but not going to quit until someone realizes this is exactly where SpaceO is lacking at the moment)
