This is why there are alliances. These "teams" you speak of are basically what alliances are intended to be. You all could just split into different alliances permanently and remain friends through public chat. I dont see the point of this Battle Royale; this is what every round should be like not just one designated round and it is entirely up to LOI to split apart to help make this a fun Pvp/PvE game again.

It would not have to be constant Pvp even. Treaties can be formed from time to time. If a brand new player joins the game we can make sure he doesnt get picked on( or at least roughly picked on) through a Gentlemens agreement. These are all things that we ourselves should do EVERY round and not just this one.

I think too many jackpots would make the game pretty unbalanced. I think if he wants people to vote he should just have the votes be related to the 1st place players power or credits if he is not around to change it. Even if every player were to win it once a round it would still be unbalanced depending on when they got the turns. Early round 2500 turns relate to more $$ from donations than late round 2500 turns would. Even without including the donations part early round turns have to be used more effectively than late round making them much more important.

Edit: With the votes being tied to the #1 player it can increase with the total net worth thing that was on so elite where creds, ships, segs, etc all tied in. Once a player reaches a certain net worth voting goes up. I think this would be the best course of action and not too difficult to implement.

This would get people to vote and solve the voting not increasing throughout the round issue

I wanted to renew this subject by saying that I understand your issue with ex 2 but there has still not been someone who has disproven ex 1. The reason It works in this case because of 1 and .999...(... means infinitely repeating) being a converging number series due to limits.

I saw this game was getting some attention from e again and that made me excited 13. This game sparked my interest in space since I was 9 years old and I am now studying to become an astrophysicist due to the influence of this game on me as a child. I would love to see this game thrive like never before. If you disagree with my opinions let us talk about why. I do not want to push my ideas through if they are no good.

 One thing that irks me about the game is when players can travel the galaxy nonstop in late game and just survive off of black holes and never run out of turns. This will prove even more troublesome when the top players are all near the same power spawning more encounters at that level. I dont think the issue is the black holes however but the ability to decrease the amount of turns it takes to get from star to star. I understand the concept and it is not all bad, but 80% is insane. It should be less if allowed at all. Because of limitless turns in the endgame it has basically killed the usefulness of planets. I believe this would make planets necessary again and fix part of the end game grind issue.

I also believe that there should be more encounters in the game at a time and they give worse payout, but it gives some satisfaction while searching the galaxy endlessly. I would rather find 3 gold transports separated by 5 minutes of searching that give me the same as 1 gold transport does in 15 minutes of searching(this could make killer fleets much more of a nuisance however, since there are lower rewards per attack). In late game I have gone rows of the galaxy without finding anything and this is very disheartening to the player. I actually stopped playing the game seriously awhile ago because I hate the endgame grind so much because it is so boring. If the above update is done this would also be very good to help give players turns to help them search the galaxy due to there being more black holes.

I do not know how good of an idea this is, but I think it may be interesting if maybe there was a rewards during encounters where you get more gold from a GT the higher % the GT is than your fleet. If the GT is 200% of your fleets power than you get 200% of the reward money that you would usually get or if it is 30% of your total fleet power than you get 30% of the reward. I do not know if this could be abused however.

Planets (even when they were useful in the game) were only used once a players got in the trills of credits to be able to upgrade the planet to gaia lvl 10 at least with some other upgrades. They were never meant for people that can only be able to put in 30 bil workers. Alot of new players have it in their mind that they need a planet as soon as possible when that is not the case. I think upgrades for planets should be MORE expensive but do more for the player to stop "tempting" players to get planets before they are ready. That is the players fault and not the game I believe

EDIT: by more expensive I mean the initial investment in a planet should be more expensive and the upgrades should be more expensive, but could possibly give the same value. Such as instead of upgrading from 1 through 5 on a gaia planet, maybe 1 to 2 will cost the same as 1 to 5 currently does and give the same benefits but all at once. If you see my other suggestion thread you will see another suggestion I make to have planets viable again without changing them that I believe is pretty good.
