1  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: D-Day on: June 23, 2006, 06:07:15 PM
I think everything is fine personally. I would just like to see no alts. I think that getting twenty people is hard enough as it is. And I don't think that it is being abused too bad. Just my thoughts. (Oh and don't do anything until next round, as I'm on the D-day now:) With no alts may I add.
2  Space Odyssey Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / Re: Market. on: June 22, 2006, 04:23:23 PM
No, it is extremely safe. I have never seen where it offered to buy it for less than it sold it to you. Also increase your profits by the commander bonuses and galaxy. I think this is the best source of money you can do. All others are good but few have the pay out the market does and the low risk. Except the secret base at very high levels.

The market is truly the best source of income. It is totally safe, great profits, and very dependable. But it can easily be exploited by those that have the time to sit around all day playing getting huge returns. I know I would swing home to do a quick buy sell. I used one million segs on the market and would buy everything I could. So there were tons of tranactions. Placing a turns on each buy or sell action would really balance this. Everything else takes turns why not the market. I would balance those that can play all day and those that have a very fixed time. It would prevent upper players from buying the lower price items just because they had the money and space, because the loss of turns would be more valuable to them.... Now the exact turns per buy sell would need testing. Maybe 5 per action? However, after saying all this I like playing the market every chance I get and would like to see only more and quicker postings. heheheheehhee

Something that might work would be able to select what ships you want your workers to make. Even if the number of ships is zero they will produce them. That way if everything gets wiped out you just start rebuilding those fleets. Doing this will maintain your interest and growth.

6  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: about voting on: May 27, 2006, 04:56:29 AM
I agree that the voting could be a large swing for lower powers, but the money and segments are such a small amount that they wouldn't make a large difference for people mid to higher up. !50 million, 300 segs, and 175 turns a day. But if the sites that Sir Emi uses have mandates of 24 hours, well then I guess its over. Darn crumbly cookies. Always floating in the milk.

We had let him into our alliance, and he was attacking our fellow teammates. Anyways that a good way of finding out if the booting a alliance member button works. I don't highly recommend him for your alliances. Darn hindsight.

I completely agree with this. Space glory through conquest does this. I am able to vote once everyday for them, but some days because of my work schedule I can't vote for space odessy. So I am all for the once per day.

He is in my alliance I sent him a message that he needs to address this here or with Sir Emi.

You know whats funny about this... when you gentlemen finally get it Sir Emi is going to make some tiny change that throws everything off. But all the luck to ya. And I'm impressed so far.
12  General Talk / Design & Strategy Room / Re: Opinion Please on: May 19, 2006, 01:24:20 AM
I don't know ships that size. One thing that might help is did you get your HP by using armor or did you put everything into the powercore and do it through the special. Because doing it through the special is going to get you much more than the armor. (except in very small ships) I don't know about your size but it may be something to see.
13  General Talk / Design & Strategy Room / Re: Stacking! on: May 19, 2006, 01:19:20 AM
Dark what I do is make sure that my fleets always make up at least 23% of my total value. That way I go strait to the nebula. I have found the best is power. That way you do some damage to those that attack you. You don't lose too much and you are completely protected for 24 hours. I then pull my superships out reserve and start doing missions like mad. I then through them back to reserve and buy my power ships again.

I think I agree with ars68, I have found that the commander quickly becomes useless after a couple points in one area. To get 5% in one are would take around 220 CP. Getting around 25 cps a turn and you need 9 levels. I agree that I don't like losing turns over it, but it isn't that much to ask.
