I'm lucky to reach the top 75 and you can take 1st in 2 days?
Pray tell me how long you actually managed to keep such a placing?

I'm still rather a newb at design, however its better than what I used to design. (can you say energy/space waste?) I might need to browse around more, because it seems i've only learnt the basics of Design 101. However If i keep tweaking it, maybe it will turn out better

My guess is the ship space. My ship is many times smaller than your own.
Thro 10 or 20 or even 100 extra space (and weight of powercore) may only result in 200k credit price drop, with a massive ship space, the most expensive part of the ship, the powercore is far less.

I'm a new designer too,so take this with a pinch of salt. from the looks of it you have a ship with 4800 space 6 bill that means you really need to tune your systems. each system should weigh 8 and cost no more than 10 credits. that will lower the cost a LOT. to get the same stats you need to build much bigger ships. seem y thread (Can anyone nice check this design...)and you'll see that I have a much biger ship that costs 1.7 bill per ship and has siilar stats. you aretrying to cram too much into a ship that is MUCH to small. obviously thatcould all be my sheer newbieness talking. EDIT: someone tell me I am right, I really want to be right for once. Yes, I have done that. All my non-weapons are weight 8 and cost less than 10 credits I've edited my 1st post displaying the systems

I have been browsing the forums as of late, reading up on fleet design and building. I've tried my hand at designing ships but i believe i'm still doing a few things wrong. I'm mainly worried about the energy/size/cost. Anyone can give my some advice?
Name: Soulstealer Mk II Credit Cost: 6,401,619,804 Space Total: 4800 (0 left) Energy Total: 2,562,219,432 (0 left) Attack: 294,030,519 Defense: 0 Hitpoints: 121,197,182 Accuracy: 31% Absorb Power: 61% No. Of Weapons: 2 No. Of Computers: 2 No. Of Shields: 4 No. Of Special: 2
EDIT: Added information about individual modules including powercore.
All 'modules' but the powercore are valued less then 10 credits and all 'modules' of the same type are the same statwise
PC's (2) Weight: 8 Energy: 21,853,499 Acc Bonus: 17% Def Bonus: ---
Shields (4) Weight: 8 Energy: 279,628,099 Absorb: 35%
Specials (2) Weight: 8 Energy: 200,000,016 Def % Bonus: --- Defense: --- Hitpoints: +59998605
Weapons (2) Weight: 1 Energy: 500,000,003 Attack: 150015571 Acc: 5%
Powercore Weight: 4734 Energy: 2562219432

I only use swarmers because I'm too poor to afford super ships. And when i do people blow them up.
So for now, swarmers fulfil my needs.
