Title: What are SuperShips and how to Use Them? Post by: KenquinnTheInsaneOne on June 06, 2009, 09:44:30 PM Superships are not really a size category however then tend to be the biggest ships around due to how they are used.
They are meant to be used one ship per fleet unlike many other designs. They are very useful for doing encounters as you rarely lose them is used correctly. On the down side if you lose on its a big hit. You never have more then one Supership in a fleet normally. You need to create many Superships in order to use them because you only use one of a design at a time at one per fleet. Each design should be 1.2 to 2x bigger then the previous ship in the line. Oh I forgot a "line" is a group of Supership designs meant to be bought one after each other. Normal you only use 3 to 5 ships from the line at once aka Ship 1, Ship 2, Ship 3, Ship 4. For example Supership 1 cost 100,000,000 Credits the next ship in the line should cost 150,000,000 Credits if you are using a 1.5x cost increase. The one after that shuld cost 225,000,000 Credits etc etc etc.... In order not to lose then you should use no less then 3 ships in the line aka Ship 2 + Ship 3 + Ship 4... You do not use 3 fleets of Ship 1 or Ship 2 or Ship 3 nor do you have more then one ship per fleet both of these increase the chances of losing ship. Last but not least ALLWAYS KEEP THEM AT 50% MARINES OR MORE!!!!!! Or you will lose them to PVP... More to come when i have time hope this helps some Newbies... Post by: Cameron07 on August 21, 2009, 04:33:36 PM Little late on this but its helpful so... lines are normally preferred because they are usually all made by the same person... if you find a good line you can usually trust the ships to be well made, also many people have specific lines they use to mold to their commander bonuses, like why use a ship line that has max abs and acc if you have bonuses to add to that.. its just a waste.. also its easier when upgrading.. you just go by the next ship in the line instead of calculating what price ship you need to buy next, and all lines are different.. some go from 5 mil to 30 bil, and some start higher and such.. a few lines to try
Midnight - old but still decent designs.. be careful because he made many ships and not all superships Prophets line - good line with many prices C07 line - Mine :P and dont start till larger ships around 400 billion Xander - Smaller ships.. good to start the game with but stops around 30 billion credit ships Along with many others.. many people have their lines private so other commanders cannot buy their ships Title: Re: What are SuperShips and how to Use Them?
