When the last bugle sounded, We were standing there, Our banners in tatters, Our dead on the floor, Our ships lying dead in the Water, We carried on, alone In a world that's not our own Fighting here Fighting there Trying to fight back Against those we new, Would fight more and more, The more our despair grew, Struggling onwards, In a sea of darkness Fighting on, alone, Seeing in everyone, A potential shadow, A shade hiding from you, Yet still you run forwards, Yet still you cut onwards, Running in a battle anthem fury, When you break through, Through the lines of battle, Through the seas, so powerful and mighty, Your friends dying in your arms, Was it worth it the fight, Against so much darkness, When light is so hard to find, One word echoes on your lips, Charge!! Once more you pick that tattered standard, Once more the glory in your eyes, Once the more the lust for light, In a world of darkness, Once more you lead your people on, Once more you see a planet fall, It's people in a world of despair No hope, No glory, Just a silent death, Then your pods come raining down, Then the disciplined ranks march forth, Thought a fabled myth, from long before, But now your mythic ranks attack! A force of might And of despair An army of revenge and power An army that remembers what was What is And what shall be Now your name is said with glory, Now your name is remembered with reverence, Now your stand on the pillar And stay Once more the last trumpets sounded, Once more the last bugle sounded, We were standing there, The banners in tatters, The dead on the floor, Their ships lying dead in the Water, But now not ours, Was it worth it, The cost?
