Title: Anyone else Tired?
Post by: mrtimbr549 on August 26, 2008, 02:33:35 PM
Master Sergeant qe2eqe (#96582)

First Officer: Prelimiray reports indicate a mothership size of 5 segments...
A fleet of 1 ship(s) has been spotted escorting the mothership.
The commander of this mothership total power:
58.078

Intelligence Officer: This mothership commander is 0% of our power.
Danger level: Harmless

Effing nice.  Said it before...we need to be able to counter regardless.  All that is going on is the game allows cowards to hurt you with no regards of the consequences.
QE2  ..you are a ..well you get the idea.  Players like him, and you know who you are, are breaking the spirit of the game.
Im sure this will be censored or deleted soon, so read and heed.
Emi, how about responding to some of our complaints instead of being the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain.  You take our donatiopns, but refuse to hear us.

Yeah, I think I'm a genius too. I hope you know, I raped you with a disposable fleet of about .5trill cost...

This game is a procedure, an equation, and like (at least the very opening moves) chess, it is deterministic. Optimums will  be found, and the people who find them will win. People found optimums for last round, and to prevent playing the same game twice, rules were changed (and the optimums moved).

A dichotomy:
1) Wrap your head around the change, and be like water.
2) Lose and cry on forums

Makes me want to take out a fleet of tinies and boarders, rape them even after they throw most of their assets into their planets, and then conquer their planets too. Too bad I don't play main server anymore though...

Let us practice some politeness, people. Exhibiting a grandiose vocabulary does not excuse you, nor does it make you sound any nicer.

So they're still here.
This is one of the really boring parts of the game.

Qe...seriously...cut out the anime.  I'm not pissed at you, even though your like a cartoon nerd.   I'm pissed at the system that you use legally.
Ive been zeroed by much better players than you...Borg Nighty, WoW come to mind.  You sir are no WoW,
And I forgive your little outburst.  I think its great when home-schooled children get to exercise their social skills.
BTW, yours stinks on ice.  You do realize your'e crowing about mastering an online game right?
Im sure if my woman ever leaves me, I'll have plenty of time to reverse engineer Emis algorithms...just like you.  After all , if I can engineer systems on an EFIS, then I sure as Hell must be a freeking genius too.

And I'm sure if I got banned from Space O, I'd go back to my woman.

haha well thats just sad, putting an online game over a life and indeed a lady :D, ohh and qe2 a computer designed graphical representation of a female is not a woman :D

ohh and running and hiding after attacking somebody is a cowards tactic, if u are going 2 attack somebody more powerful or even less powerful then urself then you should  at least give them the choice 2 counter u back instead of reserving

umm, qe2, your 'woman' is your mother, correct? i suggest you ask emi to ban you so you can move out of her basement and get a life  :)) it gets old really quickly...attacked all of my dam alts at least 3 times a day..

Ahem, please continue this topic on rant boards, or get a mod to move it.

well to comment on the first post of this topic.. the new attack system blows.. i will totally agree... it has ruined the game for me... and all of emi's goof ups this round has aswell and for many other players

AFB, I wish this to remain right here.  It is not a bash qe2 thread, even if he brings it upon himself.
I want it to be a place for opinons on the attack system, and countering restrictions.
I truly hope this isnt being suggested for the rant section because it casts Emi in a less than favorable light.  Its actually elementary....if counters exist against you, you cannot dump segs.  Problem reduced.

i have also seen someone say you should not be able to reserve after you attack.. at least untill your counter is up.. would also eliminate everything

It would add a lot of strategy if the no reserve counter was added, but it's a lot of one sided strategy, and the incentive to pvp would evaporate entirely. Besides, I get so many segs in a day I have to sell fleets to use them... The difference in tax between selling a fleet and unreserving a fleet is, at worst, only a factor of 4/10 higher.
You could just get rid of the reserves - If there were power restrictions on attacks on stations and galaxy fleets (very loose), and if you could reclaim galaxy fleets as commanded fleets, that would open up wide strategy of commanders gaining a real tangible benefit in working together to defend a system (which they would need to do, if fleets couldn't reserve and selling them hurt more). The current combat system doesn't accomodate this nicely...

p.s. emi, I can get negative power (but I assure the rest of you that I don't intentionally modify my power with that bug)

Other options
------> lose power restricitons on counters
------> Commander can only deposit 50% of his total segments every 24 hours. That would be both bane and boon to pvp - more foreign commanders would have segment counts that allow fruitful attacks, while defenders would have a better chance at retribution.

-------> pls don't take my suggestions - I'm having so much fun with the current system.

addendum: Also, counters should take LOTS more segments, while destroying at a lower ratio.

I have only admiration for players who manage to use the game and developp a new strategy. However there is a counter-strategy for every strategy. As i learned before, all it takes is a top player, to be really determined and it's "game over". And qe2eqe knows that very well.

in my opinion what you just posted doesnt amount to a pile of crap.... some of these recent updates.. for lack of a better word... blow

I would suggest this.  Do not start DDAY.  If you get maxed out just don't play for awhile.  After awhile Emi will have to do something.  And it takes 20 people to start DDAY.  So everyone would have to be patient.

And how would that help the situation at all?

Ok, i have been around for quite a while (almost as long as blak) deezee66 in game. I do like the space station and planet stuff but also think that should be more territorial. In my opinion the stations and planets should belong to the alliances. This way the alliances would have to fight for the top spot and in the end which ever alliance has the most wins. Pships should never determine how you finish a round. Dont get me wrong i love dday since it reminds my of the old spaceo but a lot of these updates are just all over the place and dont tie things together "Come on E make things fun again"

Now that's a good idea!

Title: Re: Anyone else Tired?
Post by: Spayed on August 31, 2008, 12:34:09 AM
i agree :D, if planets and stations were to belong to alliances it would bring sort of a new dimension 2 the game, atm alliances really dont have much use for actual game play, sure they mite save u from getting 0'ed a couple of times or maybe u mite learn something u wuldnt have otherwise, but in general game play what do they do, there are hardly ever any alliance wars and definetly not in the top alliances, well not any reel wars anyway.

if the alliances had something 2 fight for well it would really matter what alliance u were in then :D

Really is this why there are 3 top ten ranked people (on the Wars server) that are currently zeroed because of their alliance being at war with POF?

seriously, i have no idea what goes on in wars :D, was talking about main server, every one 1 is 2 scared of being 0'ed 2 fight on there

Title: Re: Anyone else Tired?
Post by: mrtimbr549 on August 31, 2008, 10:03:21 AM
Please Jan'go...one server at a time.  We're debating the cradle game here...not its offspring.
I too have been around this game....since the first round.  Many, many, upgrades were great, and sorely needed.  Some are not as good in implementation as they were in theory.
The suggestion to boycott D-Day is an attempt through peaceful means to gain Emis full and undivided attention to these complaints.  Its simple....if you want attention, mess with someones cash flow.  I doubt the effectiveness of a boycott as it takes an enviroment of solidarity;  Im not sure enough will be around.
Remember that at its heart it is a game for those who want to find d-day, and those who want to stop it.
I therefore call upon the old commanders to re-attach their nads and begin fighting back and leading your alliances!!!  Quit worrying about your individual places and FIGHT BACK!!!!I love my alliance, but in the old days, if you hit G_Unit...all of G-Unit hit you back.
Whats really changed ...the game...or those who play it???  Most are puss-ed to the point that they are scared to death to lose a ship.
Man up alliance leaders......its time to unite and fight back.   Unless its inconvienent for you of course.

Ok I wasn't sure which server was being talked about here and people have been complaining that there is not enough pvp on Wars. I disbelieve them as it has gone up considerably in the last few months. But anyways enough about wars server here sorry.
