Hello everyone,

I am setting up the Incursion environment for the testing, anyone that wants to test with me is welcome.

We are starting with 50 billion credits, nobody has fleets only their SO Main designs so we have to build some fleets jump into Incursion and kick some aliens out of the system  :))

So my first wave went well enough. I dont see an alien hive built here though. Also, I think the free warp should only be usable every few min

Incoming! Encrypted transmission from the Council

To all able commanders,
You are our only hope. An unknown alien race has found its way into the Galaxy. They are attempting invasion.

Incursion detected in Golia (630,778), Arietis quadrant.

Incursion details:
Waves of alien ships are entering through the alien artificial wormhole, invading us through the artificial wormhole.
The Council has approved opening up an experimental warp gate to the Incursion system. The warp gate has the ability to transport any commander to the Incursion system to assist in the fight against the enemy.
Once inside the Incursion, you will notice the Incursion worm hole. Further detailed scans will reveal the alien ships in the system. New alien ships arriving every few minutes.

Our alien experts in the Council inform us that the aliens are attempting to build a hive. The alien Queen will be the most dangerous enemy we will face, we have to destroy the Queen and her minions before they can construct and breed in the hive.
Our salvage specialists also inform us that the aliens seem to posses advanced technology, maybe our salvage operations can help us in defending against this menace.

It appears that the aliens a device to negate the protection of any and all motherships hiding in nebulae in the Incursion system. The nebulae protection will not work in the Incursion system.
While The Council provides a means of transportation to the Incursion system. We have reason to believe the aliens will spawn more fleets proportionate to the number of  commanders who come to the defense of the Incursion system. Attacks from unfriendly mothership commanders are a definite possibility once we jump into Incursion.

However our mothership AI has developed a new protection method. We will be able to execute evasive manoeuvres for two minutes and evade attack locks in case we were attacked by hostile commanders and 10% of out power, however this defense is not full proof if we attack any commanders unprovoked we can (will?) lose the evasive manoeuvre bonus. We should also have the evading chance of our warp drives, and we can always use the warp gate to return to the Incursion system.
The is also a distinct possibility that the aliens are able to scavenge the remains of the ships and battles in this area, thus increasing the resources they posses.

Once inside the Incursion, based on the worm hole movements, we should be able to estimate when the next alien wave will jump into the system. The estimates are not 100% accurate, the aliens could jump in up to 5 minutes later then estimated but we should be there to meet them.

Objective:
Destroy the Alien Queen in order to disrupt the construction and breeding of the hive mind.

To jump into Incursion system: 0 turn(s)

the encursion was pretty fun. not sure if i can get a real feel for how it will be without more commanders there to compete with/attack.

no problems/suggestions i can think of. good job emi.

how about turning the market buy offers on... so we can see if us gaining market items from the incursions will help out or not

How about letting us use our So Wars accounts to test the darn thing .. Don't have Gold on SO Main, so no ships to test with .. How about giving 10 Trillion Credits for us to test with .. High End is where the mechanic will be broken and more obvious the higher up you test.

People reporting lots of items? That won't work on SO Wars, as the Market is disabled for one and you can't sell special items either .. they just clutter up the mothership, waste of space.

It looks decent, but there are some issues:
1 they should be totally random, not just spawning for the top players
2 there should be a limit to what u can do, like u can't do below 5% of your power similar to the encrypts, plus high warp evasion for smaller commanders in the area
3 fastest clicker wins? not sure how this will go, since allies and truced people won't attack each-other
4 waiting for hours on end every 4 minutes for wave after wave? that's definitely messed up, and the frequency of incursions should not favor anyone, everyone has different time zones
5 don't give too powerful rewards to keep it balanced

I think the majority of them spawn to high power most of them can only be killed by top 20. Maybe they should be distributed evenly out. :21:

I think the fact that the amount of aliens appearing is based upon the players there, its more beneficial to keep other players there because then more aliens appear. Also, the fact that you can just warp back makes trying to kick other players out rather pointless. If you were delayed like a min or so it might work better
