Title: SO Useful Information
Post by: KenquinnTheInsaneOne on August 16, 2007, 12:19:49 AM
SpaceO Reaver Guide Added (http://tinyurl.com/kenquinnsreaverguide)

All math calculations seem to use the normal rounding system Example 3.345 = 3, 3.5785337938 = 4 etc etc etc...(New findings tell me this may be incorrect)

Link to the old SpaceO Guide(Wiki pages replaces link) Old SpaceO Guide (http://guide.spaceo.net/)

How much power you get from different sources
Ship Power/Space: 1.5
Attack:Power Ratio 100:1
HP:Power Ratio 100:1
Defense:Power Ratio 100:1
Mother Ship Segments Power: 2,500 Each (250 Each on SO Main as of 2013-18-7)
Power From Cash and Workers: 1 Power = $1,000 or Workers

Commander XP Gain Updated(This is for Commander XP and not Ship XP Gain): 1 XP per 100,000 Power Killed You get 1/5 of the Xp your normal would get if you fail the attack/mission.
Encounters such as black holes give a Maximum of 70,000 EXP
Mothership Missions give a Maximum of 3500 XP without Commander Mods. So you need to kill 350,000,000 Power of ships to get 3,500 XP on a successfully attack and 1,750,000,000 Power of ships if you fail the attack.
Incursions: 15,000 XP without commander mods. So you need to kill 1,500,000,000 Power of ships to get 15,000 XP on a successfully attack and 7,500,000,000 Power of ships if you fail the attack.
I do now know the Value for Encrypts

Worker Credit Generation: $1 a day per 2880 Workers
Biofarms Worker Usage: You need 1 biofarm for every 5,725,000(Very close to the real number but not exactly it) workers to not be in negative growth. You will need more if you want to max growth. I have not completely done all the testing for this I will post more precise figure when I fell like figuring them out.

For SOWars it's about 1 BioFarm for every 5,000,000 Workers not to be in negative growth

Many people say that the optimal weigh for all components is 8 but after I tested this theory with Shield and Computers I found that it is True for shields but not for Computers. If you make a Computer 9 Weight instead of 8 you shave off 1000 Energy from it. Compared to the extra 400 energy you get from putting 1 Space in your powercore.
Optimal Shield Weight is: 8
Optimal Computer Weight is: 9

Component Making Calculations(More to come)
HP Formulas for specials(8 Weight Only)

You need the components required energy for this one:
((Energy Required * 3)/10) -1399 = HP

Example: You have 50,000,000 energy for your special so you do: 50,000,000 * 3 = 150,000,000 / 10 = 15,000,000 - 1399 = 14,998,601 HP
All of the above data was tested on the SO server it should be Accurate for SOWars but I have not doubled checked.

Power Core Energy Gen
Energy Generation = ((PowerCore Weight -13)*400)-79

Swarm Mod Info
Ok I am going to try and start updating this again with anything I can think of to help new spaceo Players now I am going to Document how the Swarm Mod works.

The way the Swarm mod works is if you have lots of ship in one fleet you get a bonus to HP/ATT/Defense dependent on the ships size(Smaller gets a bigger bonus) and the Number of ships in a fleet.

The bonus caps out after a Specific number of ships dependent on the ships size. A smaller ship size needs more ships to max the Bonus .

Larger ships just cap out at lower ships numbers

For now here is the Data on the Bonus for ships size 62 and up since its the same mod after that.

Maxes Bonus at 8,000 Ships
Max Attack Bonus: 2.42857x Normal
Max Defense Bonus: 2.42857x Normal
Max HP Bonus: 11x Normal

Size 12 Ships
Maxes Bonus at 24,000 Ships
Max Attack Bonus: 5.285714285714285568x Normal
Max Defense Bonus: 5.285714285714285568x Normal
Max HP Bonus: 31x Normal

nice! i never bothered to check, but i always thought that the amount of cash yielded per worker changed when u got to the larger amounts... any chance this is true or am i totally off?

Title: Re: SO Statistics
Post by: KenquinnTheInsaneOne on August 16, 2007, 07:08:01 PM
I would think its a constant rate but it could change with larger amounts

Title: Re: SO Statistics
Post by: Cameron07 on August 16, 2007, 07:59:33 PM
nah dont think it changes... the thing that changes it is when people use commander points towards having their workers made more creds per 10 mins

Doesn't look like the max worker equation works for SO Wars.  :21:

And I don't think you get any CP for missions/encounters in SO Wars. Or next to nothing. You only get Commander XP for fighting vs other players and possibly System Fleets ...

But .. This is a SO Stats thread ... :-) So good work and nicely done, I was looking for this sort of info too.  :14:

Title: Re: SO Statistics

Good point, I can't count. I don't have 3 Trillion Workers.

You don't happen to know the Growth % rates for a given number of workers ?  :)

I don't think that I will be able to figure that out as it has to many variables to test properly and one of them which is worker amount is impossible to increase/decrease in specific numbers. Sir Emi could tell us if he is feeling nice tho.

Lots of updates to my post today :12:
Bio Farm Per Worker Ratio Updated
Added the real Optimal Computer Weigh
Add more precise Biofarm Per Worker Information
Updated Commander XP Gain Data
Add Optimal Computer/Shield Size

Title: Re: SO Statistics
Post by: Amagnon on December 08, 2007, 12:26:10 AM
Ken - because your basically there already, Ill post some data.

Optimal weights are;

Shields and Weapon - 8
Computers and Special - 9

The following table is the energy increases required to go below size 10.

Miniturization Costs in Energy

Size   Comp      Shield
9   333   133
8   1333   400
7   2000   933
6   3333   2000
5   6000   4133
4   11333   8400
3   22000   16933
2   43333   34000
1   86000   68133

Comp applies to special as well, Shield applies to weapons as well.

So if you want to make a smaller component, use this table to determine how much extra energy is needed.  For example if I had a size 8 shield and wanted to make it size 4, then the energy cost would be 8,400 (for size 4) - 400 (for size 8) = 8,000 more energy.

lol. NO!

Around 7 people saw the one I posted yesterday. Ask around.
Yours determined the Energy Requirements and weight mine has nothing to do with that. What I added tells you what ASB a ship will get with any combination of shields.

Also if you don't think mine work please show some evidence other then saying No Lol. I've test my formula with a half dozen different shield combos each component adds the amount my formula says it should. If my calculations are wrong please show me and I will remove it from my Topic.

Edited since I found out why you removed the posts.

1*50
2*40
2*35

Easy my calcs say that it should be 81.041666666666666666666666666653 rounded up to 82% but since shields are caped at 80% it gets reduced to 80%. Edit: Do you want me to write up my exact calculations?

Title: Re: SO Usefull Information
Post by: KenquinnTheInsaneOne on January 06, 2008, 07:04:53 PM
and computers which are not capped at 80 would still give 80, I'd imagine.

you're making it to complicated.
Well you can thank the math I'm using, I have not taken any thing above grade 10 yet. Since I'm homeschooling and have Been focusing on other subjects.

Edit:Also I'm pretty sure that computers would be capped at 99% since thats the max Accuracy. Not that you would want Computer ACC that high since you have to have at least 1% ACC coming from your weapon.

Kenq

Using your sum of fractions formula then 1x36% shield, and 20x31% shields gives 62% absorb.

However if you build it in the game youll find its exactly 66% absorb.  The more iterations you do, the worse that formula result is.

Theres a bit more to the eqn.

Kenquin if you make an adding formula for shields you will make it way to complicate and you will never get the right answer. Try to get the real formula ;)

Hmm - I remember a post about a week ago where you were scoffing at MeGuRen for his 22 shields .. so you didnt have the formula then.

Anyhow - as anyone who's resolved it will tell you, its not straight forward - and unless you have some leads from someone, or a good mathematical knowledge your unlikely to solve it.

I don't remember a post about 22 shields but Ill take your word for it, but I do not believe I was Scoffing at him. I just asked him to show me that my formula was wrong instead of just saying your wrong. Thank you for telling me I will need more Advance mathematics to solve it as It will prevent me from fruitlessly spending anymore time on it.

I was referring to FTP who thought 22 shields was a silly idea, not you Kenn.  Also Basil insisted more than 8 was a waste - not true.

The number of required shields or comps varies with the target percentage.

Optimal Weapon Weight is: 8

Max Computer Stack should not exceed 10 components (valid up to 36% Raw ACU... possibly up to 50% Raw ACU)
Max Shield Stack should not exceed 22 components (valid up to 75% Raw ABS... most probably to 80% Max)

What I'm about to say is probably bloody obvious, but I'm pointing out what the effect of each maxed skill would be. And don't forget mothership mods count towards that percent.

Advanced BioFarms: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = 35.5 credits per biofarm per turn
Advanced Locator: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = 3.55x segments on Extend missions
Time Dilation: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = Cap at 12,750 turns (assuming initial cap is 5000)
Planetary Combat: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = Marines are 3.55x stronger
Marine Leader: 70% (Thanks to Draken) = Marines cost 0.3 credits
Special Board Fleets: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = Ships hold 3.55x marines
Kamikaze Master: 50% (Thanks to Draken) = 1.5x attack on all ships
Unknown Alloy Armour: 70% (Thanks to Draken) = 1.7x HP on all ships
Slave Training Knowledge: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = ~1 credit per 850 workers
Master Defender: 50% (Thanks to Draken) = 1.5x defence on all ships
Black Market Dealer 37%(Thanks to Sir Emi and Draken) = Ships bought with the design cost 63% of original
Shield Master: 37% (Thanks to Draken) = ABS +37%
Target Tracker:   37% (Thanks to Draken) = ACC +37%
Emphatic Trade Relations: 70% (Thanks to Draken) = Market buy price x0.3
Fast Talker: 70% (Thanks to Draken) = Market sell price x1.7
Line Assemble: 80%  = Ships cost 20% of normal
Upgrades Dealer: 37% (Thanks to Draken) = Upgrade cost x0.63
Explorer Mercenary: 50% (Thanks to Draken) = 1.5x segment reward
Elite Mercenary: 50% (Thanks to Draken) = 1.5x credit reward
Slave Trader Mercenary: 50% (Thanks to Draken) = 1.5x worker reward
Contraception Ban: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = 3.55x worker growth rate
Bank Fraud Program: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = 3.55x interest
Genius Mind: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = 3.55x EXP
Genius Leader: 255% (Thanks to Draken) = 3.55x CP from levels
Alliance Genius Leader:   100% (Thanks to Draken) = 2x alliance size
Warp Alignment Sensibility: 75% (Thanks to Draken) = Travel cost x0.25

Putting all the stat boosts together gives you a ship that's ~10 times the strength of its original cost. Cool.

This is a test to work out how to post an in game image for the Commander rank of Major

Ok, I've worked out how to get them from game directly but the images I have stored already I'm having difficulties with. I had stored them on a spreadsheet page but this doesnt allow me to upload them to a storage site. I might have to update all the images next round as I gain rank, providing I dont get Zero'd every day!!

Ahh, contributions to the Wiki. This is very helpful.

Remember any of you can edit the Wiki if you have something to share.

Nope, you can keep leveling your commander but thats the highest ranking. Just ask anyone who made quads of fp.

Look carefully did i say that there were more medals then that? Also i thought by ranking you meant level not by rank aka Sergent.

Saying that i think there are is not the same as me saying there are medals larger then that.

Kenquinn, no one is accusing you of stating that there absolutely, positively are more medals than that. You did, however, expressed uncertainty, and—in that uncertainty—you proposed that, more likely than not, there are more medals. Truth of Mind then clarified that, in fact, there are not any more medals. His clarification was both appropriate and warranted.

Your responses to him, Kenquinn, however are now bordering on belligerent.

Meh, sometimes there is a point when a fleet with bonuses is worth more than an upgraded fleet.

haha okay I get it now  :19:

There is no point upgrading so fast. You just reduce your amount of encounters. Plus fairfrozen, getting to immortal is pretty standard in SO Main at this time point. Aliens are a plenty to get crew experience
