Title: Project RS
Post by: Silence444 on July 07, 2007, 02:24:57 PM
Brief Policy Discription -
Project RS is a relitivly new alliance with myself being its current leader (Silence444). In general our alliance will not sanction ANY hits that aren't provoked first.
Current Projects -
1: Clear a 4 quad square of all reavers so that it will serve as a sort of cease-fire zone where noobs can grown and train. Exact location is unkown but it will be somewhere neer the middle of the bottom two rows of quads (I will post when we have a location and when it has beeb completed). All people looking to train a few noobs, or that just need to top of their resource tanks are welcome we jsut ask that when your done u replace the fleets u destroyed (leave a 1 weight ship in the system).
2: Recruit up to a total of 15 members (need 4 more)
3: Creating a list of decent designs that will be available to noobs/new recruits (without gold acount) that need help
Politics -
Currently we have truces with just about all of the big alliance and are seeking truces from those that we haven't yet recieved one from (both large and small). At the moment we wish to remain out of any and all wars upholding a policy of relitive nuetrality (we will retaliate against attacks). Additionally any aid (materiel or training) other commanders wish to offer or any commanders people want trained are more then welcome.

--Key--
? = Unkown R = Definite reaver contact (will be followed by power) Clr = clear and patroled by friendly "holding fleets" (1 weigth ships) C = clear but under hostile fleet controle (un authorized "holding fleets" or enemy forces which will be followed by a fleet power) E = Clear and not under fleet controle A = clear but has an anomaly detected (enemy space station in hiding) S = clear but contains hostile space stations (note that a few systems will have  stations run by my alliance so that we can recoop the costs of maintaining the area)

-Note-
We will not harm any commanders already established their facilities (there is one guy that established himself by killing one of our earlier bases but we are willing to call a truce).

wont your system fleets that keep the reavers away block from encounters? and i dont like everyone getting free resources

Title: Re: Project RS
Post by: Satan on July 24, 2007, 12:57:12 AM
I think just one or two qauds for mining would be fine, just so peopels can set up bases if they cant clear reavers

Title: Re: Project RS
Post by: Silence444 on July 24, 2007, 02:47:44 AM
your concerns are noted... and it is seeming that the SO comunity is just to concervitive (or maybe even to greedy) to give up some space for noobs to learn...

most of those posting here have learned in the school of hard knocks dodging fire and getting relentlessly hammered when they were noobs

it a yes from me, i dont use bases so no loss  B-)

i learned the hard way.. you need to build up power.. and since you've posted the quads and places your going to try and help people then someone could easily come along and destroy the noobs stations for personal gain, i believe they should stick to segs as a form of income untill they can provide enough protection for there bases

Title: Re: Project RS
Post by: Silence444 on July 26, 2007, 11:29:16 AM
4 yeses so far

and as to your concerns... this is why the quads would need to be staffed by several more established players however this is where in we find the rub, very few people are willing to donate that much effort and the only method payment i could think of has been shot down (granting the staff a 1-2 systems per quad for their own bases).

so any ideas for compensating the noob zone staff?

The reward will be that those newer players might stick to the game and therefor creating a larger playing field which does improve the game.

And for the very high players. It would be nothing to put a ship full of marines out that most players couldnt touch

Title: Re: Project RS
Post by: Silence444 on July 29, 2007, 04:12:22 PM
HAHAHAHA alright ya, i guess all players are rewarded if more people play, I'll buy that. I wont however be willing to police the zone (for those VERY big players) for just that. i think i need a couple more yeses in order to continue... but if we're not going to compensate anyone then i also need a couple volunteers.

Title: Re: Project RS
Post by: FTP on July 29, 2007, 07:15:11 PM
I'm a volunteer  :12:

I am still growing my captain in SOwars, but I shall volunteer him once I've reached a fairly better power. Shouldn't take long... :)

sry for the extreme lack of updates (and i am aware last post was a month ago) this project has been delayed until we can gather enough support. Also, at this time my alliance is incapable of rendering assistance even to our own members. we need help. Armageddon Inc. is just doing WAY too much damage to us. currently we are working on new border and mid level frigate designs. progress will resume on this project when we can attain some kind of protection from Armageddon Inc. or when the damage that they are capable of inflicting becomes minimal. again sry for the RIDICULOUS delay in responses.

silence444
yes i do support your idea
i currently have an alt in a weak alliance with a few active players and am teaching them how to play.
a cleared area would be great. unfortunately, more powerful people than me area obviously against it.
mail me ingame as to watever i can do to help. increased communication between our alliances and increased trust can also come from this.

silence,
why was the truce declined? if it has something to do with preservation of faith moving above project rs, i seriously hope you do not have agressive ideas on you mind.

i have supported you, your alliance, and your ideas, and i would like to know why the truce was declined.
